This is getting embarrassing for fanhub, MTB schooling them YET again. What are their overheads?!

Calker is just that kind of player mate. With Radley, capable of coming good over the long term and deserved a few more weeks. I don’t have him so easy for me to say though.

As a non Macca owner I was very worried about not having him at HT. What was he on, 40 or something? I think it’s a bit early personally. I think they end up averaging very similar by the end of the year. Could be wrong; I own neither.Ponga for prez wrote:I know this is early days but is a straight swap from macca to friend actually not that bad of a trade? I feel like friend just has the endurance to play the 80 and still get through a ton of tackles - whereas macca might take a while to get used to 80 mins. What do you guys think?

He might not but I'd want to be sure I have a dud on my hands before I spend a trade on what might not be a huge upgrade.

I'm holding him. Without those MTs, he scores 44 which I was hoping for. Not the best start but a wait and see unless there's a player worth trading to

Why? Are you trying to win the weekly?
You’ll have something to cheer about this year mate. Great recruitment over the last few years.Simmo wrote:@SI Yeah live just north of Newy (Port Stephens) we call it paradise. Been putting up with the Knights having a $3mill team for years now, feels good to watch a game and see their forwards match it with the heavyweights.

Hang on, missed tackles are worth negative 3 points this year?
Serious question.
This in a nut shell. Pretty much the same player.Cap'n Ranta wrote:Ponga for prez wrote:I know this is early days but is a straight swap from macca to friend actually not that bad of a trade? Friend
3 TBs, 2 LBs, 1 T = 27 points
41 RM, 88 KM = 8 points
Made 68 tackles and missed 4 = 60 points
Macca
0 attacking stats = 0 points
31 RM, 66 KM = 6 points
Made 51 tackles and missed 4 = 43 points
I know we said the broncos had no ball but quite literally that 2nd half the roosters had no ball for large periods. They seem to be the same player but Friend just had a big game. If you'd be happy with Friend scoring like Macca this week then do it but if you like Friend then I think you like Macca just as much and are paying 70k for a quick price rises and similar points. Would be looking for another way.
I see both making 45-60 tackles a week with 2-4 misses. Combine that with a few cheeky darts and kicks and you have 45 - 65 points a week. The attacking stats I feel will be close at seasons end so not crediting them much now. Bring Friend in by all means but not at the expense of the same player. Also he's a keeper at 780k that will quickly crater with one sub 40 game and that big score dropping out. If he is a slightly better Macca do you want to commit multiple trades to him for scoring you already have?

I think he is counting the missed points plus the points he would have made if he made the tackle.
im not sure that works for the way Radley gets his MTs though, shooting out and sometimes never even trying to tackle, just put pressure on
