My approach this week too. Lawrie is one coming in. Now need to settle on the other.Mulvy wrote:
They were my initial trades but I want to give Arrow another week to confirm my thoughts and Bateman won't rise in price as fast as some of the lower priced cows so I'm getting them first.

Decent point. Though not much of him so should acclimatise quickly you’d think.SoylentGreen wrote:Think Bateman will handle less "english" conditions? Probably felt right at home in the rain on Sunday.
That said, the Raiders have a bunch of home games to start the season, and by the time they go to Townsville in April it should have cooled down a bit.

Fact, I am sober and not considering chopping Arrow. I believe this is all the scientific proof we require to consolidate your theoryChewie wrote:How did Arrow end up on this forum's chopping block?

Arrow is the only way i can raise enough money to get Bateman in. I feel like Bateman is a must have. Been years since ive Seen a CTR capable of his score. I don't think i've ever seen a lock that plays 80 available in CTR. It's once in a fantasy lifetime.
My only other options would be drop Ofa, Macca and Arrow.
Somehow I feel more likely to get more out of both Ofa and Macca then arrow.

You can't just blame the wet and wipe the MT's from Radleys score though. He averaged 2.3 last year in 44 minutes its fair to expect that he'll average at least 3.5 this year with the extra minutes without even allowing for him tiring and missing extra's on top of that.
Agree re the other two.
His PPM last year was 0.8 which means he should go around 44. Obviously nobody can say with certainty what people will score, but analysing the data we have, there's enough to suggest that Radley's average may be 44. I'm only making the argument that he's not an urgent sell. It's one round

I will be playing Lawrie in my 17 but it does give me 300k to play with next week
What could you do with $300k this week?

Would you then consider Arrow to Gillet this week???
If you believe that Arrow will not perform this season. It was one round. Gillett isn't without risk if Broncos aren't doing well there will be a shuffle. Pros cons. I'm not trading Arrow just yet

Trading Arrow this week is insane. You don't trade keepers after 1 week.

It would be for upgrading failed cows or getting a decent captain in case McInnes doesnt score as expected

I'm not saying Bateman doesn't look good, he's obviously a target but the way people are talking you'd think he was $316k not $616k.

I don't have much interest in Gillett, but I think he'll be good for at least another two weeks of middle minutes, because of Lodge's suspension.
However, the Broncos are in trouble this week if Taumalolo runs on an edge again to start the game. Personally I'd rather see Fensom start prop, TPJ 13, and Gillett on the edge to counter Taumalolo.
I suspect Siebold will put confidence in Su'A though.

Anyone with Tatola going to use him to grab a missed cow this week or is this yet another trigger happy mofo move ?

Copley came straight on and Peachey went to halves. I doubt Copley would have been used if there wasn't an injury.
Which means Tyrone's injury is probably irrelevant to the planned rotations. If Cartwright spent time at half then Peachy must have been playing backrow.
If Tyrone didn't go down he may have spent some time at hooker to give Peats a rest. We don't really know, but the possibility kept a lot of people off Peats in pre-season

Rumour alert. TLT will confirm. Some Dragons insider who knows Lawrie reckons McInnes will play lock just for this week with K. Sims lock when he returns round 3. They like Lawrie's impact off the bench.

Bit stuck here. No way for me to get Bateman in without sacrificing Lane. Even Holland wont get me there with only $39k ITB.
Kahu>Bird leaves me with $5k. But seems a safer pick than Lawrie/Host. Can Start him at centre and push Nikora to last bench spot for Burr with Papa back this week. Anyone see something I'm missing?
Cook
Fifi Tolman
Muarry Arrow Lane
Morgan Keighran
Nikora Holland
RTS Burns CNK
Mahoney Gillet Garner Burr
Rava Brown Sivo Kahu
