I myself went Friend to Arrow then back to Friend just in time for the Roosters-Rabbitohs game. Very thankful for the 46 points

As a bulldog fan, would you give Holland another week or punt him?White Lightning wrote:I think Pay made a monumental error breaking up the left edge Holland/R. Smith partnership. They were killing it at the end of 2018 & I was hoping Pay would realise he erred & reunite the partnership but he hasn't.

Key match ups in the backs this week:
Burns vs Aitken
Ravalawa vs Gagai - a tough match up for him this week, planning to loop him just in case
Sivo vs Smith (and no Jennings inside him is key)
Holland vs Taka
DWZ vs Lee is an interesting one for me, picking him for a double if Lee keeps rushing at the center and one can actually pass, or they use the cutout ball
Katoa vs Don
Bmoz vs Taufua
Burns vs Aitken

You think the pack is god awful. Compared to the backline they are world beaters.Mulvy wrote:That Manly pack is god awful. SURELY Kapow gets 60+ this week. I reckon he could do 80 if he wanted. I'd love to put a C on it, but just can't be trusted.
Teddy and BMorris were my worst performers last week but I expect they’ll both make up for it this week.

As a Lame Lover (yeah, I meant the typo this time ) who obviously started with Lane; if I had to pick between the two it would 100% be Bateman I grabbed now knowing what we know after Round 1.Loomer wrote:White Lightning wrote:
That's fair enough & you won on that change. I think Lane's height is actually a great attacking asset because he's so tall no defender can tie up the ball so he potentially could get plenty of offloads away.
I'm considering getting rid of Twal. Lane could be better pick up than Bateman

I tend to agree with you. Lawrie could just play 1 game at lock then back to the bench with K. Sims lock. However Lawrie's ppm is greatly superior to Host's & he could outscore Host even coming off the bench. Plus L. Leilua is a threat to Host as well. It's all conjecture though but imo Lawrie could outscore Host by 5-10 points but Host has the advantage of being dpp.

You’re back mate. Did you not play last year?ForanAgainst wrote:Alfie wrote:Any one have any gut-wrenching stories of last minute changes or conversely favourable ones?
I don’t wanna say gut-wrenching, but I brought in Tatola for Napa and Taupau for Arrow
I have/had my reasons for these moves. A starter cheaper than Napa(who knows how this works out in the long run), and Taupau was affordable. Little did I know that both Des and Brennan would dick around with their minutes.

Same here. Wasn’t all that impressed with Keirghan I’m the trial I watched, but goal kicking tipped me in his favour.Mr Fernando wrote:played keighran at the last minute over brown because i thought he might pick up some goals

So any thoughts on how many minutes/points Sele gets this week if he starts?

Do I just hold Sivo?
I have Lawrie, Burns, Ravalawa, Burr but no Host, Waddell, Sele.
The way this is working out Host will be benched or out of 17 by round 5 (Probably make another $100K easy). Sele will be on bench by round 4 (prob make $100K easy).
Waddell is an unknown and has broken ribs before round 1 so may be playing with painkillers.
Can't afford Bird by $2K. Will most likely need the $109K next week for whatever comes my way.
Hope Roache and Burr can turn into someone decent in 3-4 weeks and they would have done the job.

I'm not mucking about & I'm trading Holland to Bateman. I would of considered keeping Holland if the Holland/R. Smith partnership got back together like Sonny & Cher did. Also watching Holland against the Warriors I thought he looked underdone & his defense was off & he even looked a bit slower but that could be due to fitness. I also think because Pay has selected the same 17 the Eels will win easily.

Some of my best TLT news is Burr retaining his spot.
Had some buyers regret after the Warriors started with the realisation that he may only see one game in the 13.
Any chance he loses his spot to Papalii?
I've dropped him to No14 just in case, but it means scoring one of Bird, Keighran or Drown in his stead - so far its Keighran.

Favourable match ups across the board for both Eels and Bulldogs this week. Holding Sivo and Holland seems sensible.
Have my eye on David Fifita and TPJ along with Gillett this week.

You would have to go for Gillett over D Fifita if trading now. Maybe Fifita in a week or 2 if he is getting big minutes, but not an urgent trade in.

I think he will start this week but not next week. Only expecting 35-40 minutes in total though. Second shift will probably be at prop.
