Holland to Bird is a no brainer for mine. Wish I had it that easy because I too was opposed to Bird pre season but need to give up now as I like free money (with a dash of points) this early in the season.

It’s much harder choice for those like me with Capewell as the move feels wrong but I can’t see another outlet

Agreed GM. For me it's either Burr to Bird with not much $ left over, or Capewell to Bird which seems wrong (good choice of words by you there) but plenty of $ left over

Priced at under 30, if he gets long term starting role at the Dogs he could do well.

The bulldog that no-one is mentioning on here that I'm interested in is Lachlan Lewis. If the dogs continue to suck, he continues to rack up 20+ pts in kick meters alone, and if they improve he picks up attacking stats.

I've watched most of the games these first two weeks including both the Bulldogs ones, and he's been pretty much the worst player in the whole of the NRL. So, yes he's somehow picking up fantasy points but the Bulldogs will continue to suck at least in part because he sucks and job security will have to be an issue.

Thoughts on my trades? I want to sell Host to Flegler and potentially Capewell to J Bird, is it worth burning the trades for cash generation? J Bird seems a must-have and Host is aids.

    My team: $25k ITB

    Cook
    Fifita, Host
    Arrow, Murray, Lane
    Morgan, Munster
    Nikora, Bateman
    CNK, Edwards, Burns

    Mahoney, Capewell, Garner, Keighran

    DBrown, Garrick, Rava, Sivo

Host to Flegler seems sideways at best. Hass and Lodge back soon. I'd hold that trade.

Honestly I'm not sure who you sell to fund your upgrades. If injured Morgan would make sense, maybe Edwards....... Not sure your team is worth destroying for that. Sorry to be of no help whatsoever

    Macca
    Tolman, Fifita
    Arrow, Murray, Garner
    Morgan, Moses
    Bird, Nikora
    CNK, Burns, Teddy

    Taupau
    Capewell
    Lawrie
    Keighran

    Brown
    Host
    Ravalawa
    Sivo

My only trade of the week has been Holland to Moses. I want a more reliable HLF, he's the cheapest and could be a good POD to own which is my favourite thing to do in Fantasy. Only 47k left in the bank though.

Any recommendations to trades to potentially free up cash or a better interchange lineup? I think Host is worth persisting with. He'd really have to suck to not meet his BE and I don't see any real appealing option around to be worth making a trade. Perhaps I'm not considering something though.

nice squad mate, got options for cash later with Lawrie, Capewell so no bother there. Think Moses is a good POD shout and someone I mentioned a few threads ago, still be prepared for those afwul games but the huge KMs should offset them a bit, think the average is around 45-48 so if he gets there will make good cash and a nice stepping stone to DCE/Cleary/Arey.

    Week 3 team

    Cook (c)
    Surgess Tolman
    Arrow Gillett Murray
    Morgan Keighran
    Bird Nikora
    CNK Edwards Burns

    Farah Mahoney Garner Lawrie

    Brown Host Ravalawa Sivo

    Trades for the week were
    Radley - Mahoney
    Kahu - Burns

Kept Rad a week longer than i should have. Also I dont believe in Kahu if they're moving him from FB to center. Hell at center hes probably already playing at his price. Also Keighran had a shocker of a game that hopefully he wont be repeating. And based off the match ups it still makes more sense to play him over Brown this week (fingers crossed)

Thoughts & thanks in advance. My first trade will be - Holland out & Bird in (this is a no brainer) but my 2nd trade will be a choice between these 2 following options:
    (a) Capewell out & Surgess in
This will make my 14-17 = Mahoney, Surgess, Garner, Burr/Sele
    (b) Burr out & 1 of Twal, JFH or J. Batement in
This will make my 14-17 = Mahoney, Capewell, Garner, Twal/JFH/J. Bateman

With Lisone suspended for 2 games they will probably bring in Sao so this could bump up Burr's minutes so I'm leaning (a) but option (b) gives my bench balance but I miss out on Surgess.

    Thanks.

Hey WL - this might have been covered already, but while you are around, do you have any thoughts on how that Dogs bench/Pay's tactics might impact Tolmans minutes this round and moving forward?

Many people got him thinking he might get 55-60 minutes, but so far average 50min not looking too good.

Im just trying to get a feel for how things might transpire with him .

I like Holland to Bird and bank one.

Prefer B with Twal but doesn’t feel urgent with Burr still with cash to make. Burr to Twal just feels a lot more significant than Capewell to Burgess. The former yet to register attacking stats (that will come) and the latter overperforming. Capewell to Bateman otherwise is good for later, when Graham is back

Like the move. Radley has had his chance already. No fear in that loss. Improvement plus bank.

Best option for Kahu by a mile (if you don’t have him) is Burns. Otherwise ask MattNZ if he can recommend a Xerri rookie

Great start mate. Worry about Host first.

The guy is god awful for fantasy. Click Opponents in his profile and be underwhelmed at his history Laughing

    Team for the week:
    Macca
    Fifita (c) Lawrie
    Arrow Murray Gillett
    Munster Morgan
    Bateman Nikora
    Burns Hughes CNK

    Mahoney Garner Bird Capewell
    Brown Keighran Burr Ravalawa

Pretty happy with this lot, can probably continue on without any urgent trades. No FRF cover is a concern, but the dragons are first up so no nasty surprises that I won't be able to fix. Not joining the halves roulette this week, taking the low risk option.
Burr and Capewell still have some money to make and are a hold in my opinion (unless you really need the coin to plug a hole in your team)
In the next couple weeks I'll be looking at getting Teddy and a possible mid-price FRF for cover. I might have to loot another ship to get the coin pirat but I'll make it work.

Worth doing Host to Flegler and Tolman to Surgess?

Host is probably the priority to remove this week for me, but the options are quite limited in terms of their own JS. However, I think Flegler could still maintain 25-35 mins even with Lodge and Haas back and has a BE of -7. Alternatively, could keep Host and make EMG and play both Keighran + Brown because although he should make plenty of tackles, up against Broncos' stronger left edge

If I don't go for Surgess, probably will hold Tolman and assess impact of new bench (HOK, 2 2RF and 1 FRF - although Martin should play big mins and maybe move Elliot to prop rotation) and then move to someone like Vaughan/TPJ/Twal/McLean after another week of analysis

Also could do Host to Lawrie just about this week as alternative, but his JS is also somewhat unknown

    Thanks guys

As hilarious as it will be watching how hard work he makes of his 9 BE, it’s still a single digit BE for Host so no huge rush unless your incoming guy is a massive cow ripe for 3-4 weeks of milking

I have no idea about this Flegler fell but Host to lawrie if you can do it without an enabler or some other downgrade is a solid move.you obv don’t NEED the FRF cover if you have this Flegler but If you are needing a 14-17 Lawrie is by far the best option of those 3

Host to Lawrie will be straight swap with 114k ITB (leaves 21k ITB) just on my 14-17. Looks like a good move, only worried about limiting funds for Crichton but with him being named on bench (may change before kick off) it might delay need to bring him in further and drop his price even more to the point where I don't need funds for straight swap (Whitehead)
