Multiple players who've left the Panthers have talked about it being a bit toxic there, hard to gauge sometimes what to make of those comments because everyone has their perspective on the truth.

I would have to rewatch a few games to see if there was any meaningful impact in terms of kick returns, I suspect it just comes down to the confidence of knowing he had the spot locked down

What do we think of the Panthers this year? In recent seasons they have started the year off terribly, but there has been a lot of off-field drama mixed in. It seems as though they've had a quiet (in a good way) pre-season this time round and things are fairly settled.

Additionally they tried swapping Cleary and Maloney (last year?) and that just didnt work. Over the past two years the two of them just hasn't really clicked. Now that Cleary has sole control I think that could be a good thing for their side.
They now have a settled hooker after being unable to find a solution last season. I think they could start the season quite strongly.

Really keen for these middy hookers. I really want a gun hooker (CS9 or McInnes) too but can't have everything.

This team really relies on Fifita being in form (knee), a decent cheapie WFB (Coates?) And some cheapies for NPR. Depth is also terrible. But willing to risk things early season.
