Evening guys thoughts on my draft trades below (pending Aubbo is named to start so I don’t need to worry about him and that Best is named at centre for the Knights)

    Looking at trading out:

    Williams to Grant
    Watkins to Best
    Fifita to Taumalolo
    Knight to Twal

Leaves me with not much cash spare at all like less than 10k:

    Leaves me with:

    Api
    Haas Twal
    Luciano Taumalolo Katoa
    Moses Luai
    Aubbo Best
    Shiba Pap Drinky

    B. Brailey Carrigan Grant Rudolf
    JTB Walters Wiliame Cleary

Britt is also the other guy on my radar next in line and I may yet still pick him.

Does anyone think there is another potential trade I should be making over my 4 draft ones?

If that's accurate then buying Xerri doesn't seem so dumb...

It also brings SJ into the conversation of highest-scoring half (a conversation he should be in anyway tbh).

Best is obviously a watch and you could just throw Wiliame in and trade Watkins later to a rookie for a better double move, but super moves otherwise

If Kennedy doesn’t play, you will run with 16 this round?

Video press conference with Best, explaining injury. Basically had an extra bone in his foot which got removed and is now "normal". Would have been out until R11-12 if normal season

Would be able to move Drinkwater back to WFB and play Luai instead of Kennedy and then play Rudolf on bench
Don't know why it isn't set up like that already

Forgot I had Lomax. Not an urgent trade because of his low BE but his scores could go south very quickly. The Dragons have got the Warriors and then the Bulldogs first up, so he'd be a reasonable chance of scoring ok in those games.

Hardly relevant but his previous scores against those teams are 20 in 9 mins (1 try), 33 in 51 mins (1 try), and 66 in 80 (1 try).  Maybe he can keep that strike rate up? hah

Wiliame just as much of a chance of scoring well too I guess. Having two dragons in your back 5 though? Ouch.

Travis Meyn from CM is reporting that Ash Taylor is making a ~shock move~ to five-eighth. (inline with previously reported Roberts to fullback, fogarty into halves)

In reality.. not sure what that means for fantasy. maybe he is moving to the left side. What will Fogarty's role be? If he is playing right side then he might take on some kick metres...

Fogarty scored 113 in round one of the Q CUP - GET HIM IN!!!

    Averaged 58 in 2019.

Looks like he has kicked goals for the last 4 years in Q CUP so maybe he'd take that on at the Titans.. not that they score tries.

Looking a little closer he has averaged around 20 tackles and 200 to 250 kick metres per game for most of his Q Cup career.. not too bad.

If I trade Moses to Watson I can bring in all the players I want:
    Moses out - Watson in
    Knight out - Twal in
    D. Fifita out - Yeo in
    Watklins out - Isaako in

Do we think Watson can match Moses at 139k cheaper. Ultimately I want Cleary as my half & if Watson plays big minutes at hooker then I think he can match the scores of Moses for the 2 games while Cleary is suspended.

    Thoughts & thanks.

"Never trade a keeper" echoes in the background..

Watson probably will if he gets close to 80.

I guess with Moses it depends on how you think the Eels will go this season. If they are a top four side, then he's going to have a fair few big scores.

Agree with all of this so I think I'll stick with Moses.

Somewhat promising for a good cow here

“We all know how skilful a player Ash is. If we can get him in that type of role without having to run the team as well, he can just worry about playing. It might make his job a bit easier."

On Fogarty - “He is a good organising halfback with plenty of experience,” he said. “I wanted to slot him in and see how he goes.

Dragons have a dream draw for the restart:
    Warriors
    Bulldogs
    Sharks
    Titans

Do we expect McInnes to get 80 minutes straight away? Massive POD that I haven't seen anyone looking at here for the restart.

I'd say that would be their intention, he's the captain and they are 0-2. Game situation probably comes into equation.. they gave up a good lead with a few mins to go in round 2 though so they probably won't take risks haha

when did he get back to full fitness?

I looked at him but would have to likely forego Cleary
Question remains whether he would move to lock during games to accommodate Luke as rumoured during preseason and how this would impact scores

Doesn't seem to harm guys like Tevaga or Brandon Smith, still get to be a tackle bot, but with more opportunities to run the ball as well.

So many questions, not enough trades. I think we are going to see some very different teams re-entering the season. Some people taking some different approaches. I LOVE IT!
