Depends on your team composition, but Jai Arrow is a gun at 2RF and only 3.7% owned. I started with him ahead of Fifita and it's saved me at least one trade.

Xerri would be last on my list because centre is a waste land of a position. At this stage I'm acquiring keepers based on cheapest price, which puts Turbo right at the front of the list

Waiting for Latrell to drop is a much better strategy than getting Xerri IMO

Take your pick really. I always lean to hook/2rf gun first as they're generally more consistent. Nothing worse than trading in a wfb gun who gives you a 30 in the first week.

That said the Roosters are 0-2 and should be fired up against Souths, Teddy could have a big game.

Yeah, and I think CS9/Cook might come down later on... whereas someone like Matto might be the cheapest he will be before he explodes.

A forward for sure & probably a hooker. But the top flight hookers are very expensive. I'm on the Twal buzz atm so I would pick him if you can't afford a hooker. I read this article about Twal & he's ripped & extremely fit so he's going to clean up. He was staying at the family home during lockdown & he trained their house down.

I honestly think Titans will put up a fight, but will fade late.

FWIW: Xerri was just used as an example, I am not actually looking at CTR right now.

Thanks everyone for their advice. So far Matto, Twal and Turbo are on my list. I could possibly fit Turbo and Twal/Matto with two cheapies (Grant, Fogarty)

There's no way Taumalolo will be given an early rest. For 1 thing the Cowboys middle falls apart when he's off,

I agree. Titans have Mofo back (he did play rnd 2 but I don't think he was fully fit) and also Boyd returning, should be a bit stronger in the middle of the park. They need to show something

On the plus side, Matto has a BE of 54 so he won't get away from you if you wait a week or two. I definitely want him in but my 2RF is already stacked and I'm targeting guys like Cleary and Teddy first

In terms of some under priced guns, Adam Reynolds should be falling a bunch of cash after his 22 in round 2

EDIT: He won't score as high as Cleary/DCE/Moses, but the 100k or so difference when he bottoms out could be invaluable later

I just re-watched the Souths Broncos game, focused on understanding what is happening with Mitchell. He set up 2 try scoring opportunities that Campbell Graham screwed up both times. Didn't look to be lazy, created a couple of opportunities that didn't come off. There were a couple of sets right on the line where he didn't receive the ball, one of them the guy on his inside went over for the try but could have passed to him. If he starts getting the ball in try scoring positions he will rack up points again pretty quickly. Has also lost goal kicking duties this season, so some value to drop from that too.

He still has those ceiling scores in him for sure, my concern is the base

He doesn't get anywhere close to his previous tackle counts and he doesn't have the work rate to make up for it in metres running it out from the back. Plus as you mentioned the loss in goal kicking.

Isn't Ramien not Xerri outside SJ? With the Sharks draw I'll be all over him when I'm fixing centres.

He only averaged 10 tackles per game at center last season. Whenever he received the ball from kicks, he ran it himself, wasn't passing it off to others, just didn't receive the ball much.

He probably needs to go looking for the ball more coming out of trouble. Teddy and RTS are fantastic at this with 31 and 32 touches in round 2 compared to only 20 from Mitchell in round. Being in position for a hit up when it's needed rather than standing behind the play the ball looking for someone else to do the tough stuff.

In the modern game the outside backs are expected to do a lot of work from that end to relieve the tired forwards and it's simply something that isn't in his game

During his time at the Roosters it was since the likes of Teddy, Tupou, Fergo and Bmoz are great at this. At the Rabbitohs Campbell Graham and Dane Gagai(non origin) aren't known for this

Latrell is very lazy. As MS said at the Roosters he could get away with it because there were others willing to do so to compensate for his laziness. At Souths he hasn't got those players so he has to pull finger which he won't of course. Bennett is the problem & he is enabling this lazy behaviour.....instead of dropping him & telling him you won't play first grade again until your attitude changes & you are fit he just plays him & tells him he's great. Robinson had no trouble dropping him at the Roosters so he got the message.

Plugging him in at centre would solve the problem, since AJ could play fullback. He does slightly more work than Latrell coming out of trouble and supporting around the ruck
