Nothing this round, not even a return. I actually like the prize structure, you are a gud chance of getting between $20-$60 for your $15 entry on the main ones. And if you fire you are off into the top echelon prize fields.

Personally I don't love the prize structure. Happy to have it top heavy but just wish there was more money for the top 5 and maybe less minor prizes. But I guess that's how it is.
Had a couple od single digit ranks including a 2nd in the knights game. Missed out by a point on getting 1st. Enjoying the game now that it's been 8 weeks into the season after covid feel like I'm getting the hang of it! Will be interesting to see when Moneyball comes back. Their scoring system is similar to supercoach. I somehow was doing better at Moneyball then draftstars last season when I was randomly entering teams including a couple of 1sts!

Re: DFS 2020
I was winning the daily yesterday until about half way through the first half of the final game. Ended up in 20th for a $50 collect.
Nothing else of note few low paying games here and there for a small overall daily profit.

Nice! I picked up 4th in the slate today, it all happened so fast with that Cleary try shooting me up the rankings! Have really been enjoying it.
Have most of you only started playing this season? And if so what are the main things you're finding challenging to get used to?

Re: DFS 2020
I have been playing for a few years.
I have obviously made money out of it but largely because I won 4.5k.in one comp.
No real secret strategy other then a bit of common sense and hoping for some.luck.

Wow nice work mate. Which comp did you win? I'm going to be doing any t20 cricket dfs that's available and league seriously. Will put a team in the big money afl comps for a bit of fun to hopefully get lucky one day!

Played moneyball few years, actually won a free comp - when I had Vete and he scored a double in 31 minutes (just looked v Knights in 2016 - 2 of his 4 career tries ha). Ran it up a bit, but the scoring was super weird.
Haven't got the hang of team balance in DFS and what works best for the comps, better scoring from a fantasy perspective to what I can expect from players and work off. Just signed up to DFS post lockdown, pity I know next to nothing about AFL.
Do they run basketball ones as well when that comes back end of the month? Had a pretty good strategy for that on MB assume scoring would be much the same, though the teams and form is going to be non existent to start with - hot

I came 2nd in the afl saturday comp a few weeks back.
I have won quite a few nrl games over the past few years but only about 4-600 for them.
Came 3rd in an odi earlier in the year and got 900 as well.
Plenty of losses in between that though lol.

Yep, I don't know anything about NBA but I believe AFL & NBA are the two big money games so I'm sure they'll have heaps of stuff you'll be interested in! Moneyball is similar to the Supercoach scoring system (attacking plays rewarded more) & Draftstars is mainly the same scoring system as NRL Fantasy (a more basic version excluding stuff like try saves etc).
Love the stories of the random wins - mine was winning the Origin last year for a $2.5 k collect!

Wow nice mate. How do you guys approach DFS in a game you don't know much about or don't follow much? I was actually more of an AFL fan than NRl till about 7-8 years ago so I know the game, but would only know around half the players and definitely don't have any knowledge of the stats/roles of players etc.

Re: DFS 2020
If i recall I won the freebie and then next game had $2 roll and got 1st or 2nd in the one off Anzac test to give me a leg up.
Sweet thanks for the NBA heads up, will wait and see, just looked at the scoring its a bit differnet to what moneyball has, so my strategy might be no good, would have to play a coule get the feel. plus with the NBA bubble anything could happen with teams and minutes all over the place

I follow the AFL a lot mate but the dailys are a lottery.
I don't really have a strategy just go with my gut.
In AFL I try to go with a few premiums then hope I jag the right cheapies on the day.

Fair enough. With the big money on offer in the AFL games (and also the fact they're now on draftkings - the big US site) it's probably the way to go if you're already in to AFL. I've just become obsessed with league through fantasy funniliy enough so want to dedicate my time on one thing and get it right!
Here's our preview article for this round. We're looking at changing up the structure in the next couple of weeks so if there's anything you'd like to see we'd be open to suggestions

Re: DFS 2020
Can't get a thing going in NRL as all the players I'm avoiding (as well as fantasy death riding) keep scoring late a la Tommy T. Maybe I need to pick those players so I can be happy with either DFS or NRLF
In a prime spot in the $2 golf though (427 entries - $94 up top), currently in the money with 4 players heading into the weekend, one at 2% and one 3% ownership for a good shout if they go well.

Re: DFS 2020
Was winning the cowboys manly game last night $920 and then fell off a cliff and finished 18th and down dated to 36th.
Finished 7th in the daily for a nice $95 collect.

Re: DFS 2020
Was out yesterday and hungover today so nothing amazing but did get a couple of top 10 rankings over the weekend. Have had an amazing run of around 8 wins out of 16 same game multis (with the promo of bonus bet if 1 of 3 leg loses) at around $5 odds on average!
Hoping to be better prepared for next week! Any big results for any of you?

Best I got across the weekend was 17th in the Warriors game, $56 back. Couple of smaller returns, couple non returns.

Here's our Round 12 first try scorer & dfs article: https://sporttechdaily.com/our-insights/round-12-value-plays/
We're looking to build an MVP of a 'data hub', if you've got any ideas or suggestions I'd love to hear them (feel free to PM me if you'd like). Initial ideas include an odds comparison for first try scorer and any time try scorer and some resources for nrl fantasy and draftstars as we've got the data for both.

Re: DFS 2020
Can't get a thing going on the nrl slates.
NBA starts up this morning though will see how that goes, might be interesting with everyone fresh, but also a lot of new combos with the quarantine breaks (a la Best) a few opt outs and a few injuries, with these last 8 games for some more of a warm up into the finals series.
Anyone else having a crack at NBA? I'm just in the $2 version
