Seggy and Luke to a lesser extent play a very similar type of game and play 80. I think they'd be better off not carrying a hooker on the bench and juggling the pack around on the odd occasion that he needs a rest. Morgan could easily play dummy half and use one of there big boppers ther in defence.Welshy wrote:
was going to say this.
Granvilles style of play I personally don't think is attainable over 80 minutes, much better used as a 60 minute max player to keep that quick, elusive running game going
from a fantasy perspective, 80 minutes would mean more tackles though and that is hard to ignore

To be fair he has been the same for at least the last season. Doesn't reach the elite level in tackle counts to get himself up to the next level, nor does he seem to have that skill and ball playing ability of similar edge back rowers to make up the points in line breaks, line break assists and the occasional try assist. If he gets shifted to lock permanently then you could gamble on an increased tackle count maybe, but with his ability to pull an Aubo and play in the centres if an injury arises there is too little upside for him at his price compared to others.

Grevs, and Taylor's defence and kicking game. I'm going to have Taylor anyway but I am a little concerned about a Brooks style first season.Pookus McFly wrote:

Having a ball playing lock/forward in situations like that would be key. Someone like Peachey/Aubo who you can use effectively in the 2nd row off the bench as they provide something there and can slot into dummy half and split duties with a half while the hooker gets a 5 minute break or so if the game is tough and brutal.

But both Seg and Luke have shown they can play 80 and at the same level though, not beyond doubt that Granville simply can't handle 80mins consistently, especially when your back-ups are hardly world beaters and he still doesn't play 80 much
Also mentioned he has put in extra work on his fitness over the pre season, so maybe this is the year

Vete and Lisone still vying for minutes off each other?
Vete had some fairly decent scores towards the back end of the season. priced $254,000 surely he can crank out 40-45 minutes
ahh likely because Matulino was out.

In the Lurker's Q&A on FB, someone asked him about the truth behind reports there was an incident with Pearce in America. His response was, not something I can report here. Does anyone know anything about this?
Niko might have more job security if Pearce has got himself in more trouble.
