Scores well without a try. Is in a side that could see him score a lot of tries.

He is the kind of player that I always seem to miss each season, like Momo and Opacic last year. (Checks side and he isn't there, but has been in most of my drafts).

For me it's just he looked good in trials and appears set to be outside of Moses and Ipap in a good attacking team. Just hoping he jags a try or two early. Not a must have.

without a try he has only scored a 28 and 26 without a try. Not disagreeing with anything else you said but those were the stats that made me ask the question in the first place

I don't see it as any more risky than Aitken or Katoa with Harris returning, which will push Curran to an edge.

Yeah but I’m not on these guys either.

Aitken Ive considered as a reasonable risk but I think with Burton and Bird he’s surplus. Katoa just seems trappy (hoping for the role to stick AND increased output). Wilton probably somewhere between

Just to be clear my weak spot is absolutely young forwards with pedigree like Wilton. For example, I’ve traditionally played drafts, and I think I picked up Jai Arrow 3 years running at the back end waiting for him to do something. I’ve have a good success rate, eventually… but it’s normally 1-2 years early.

So even when I’m arguing with Matt against Wilton I’m somehow talking myself into it

    He has scores of:
    27 & 31 without a try
    43 with a try

I am guessing you have nerfed him, but personally I am still in old scoring mode to compare players with known norms.

For a center getting high 20s / low 30s without a try (priced at 28), is decent. Its in line with guys like Crichton.

I was looking at his stats on the app. The stats you have are on footystatistics.com. It looks like NRLFantasy has changed the scores when you look at a players stats from last year.

I'm contemplating running him over Burton and using the extra cash to find some value in other positions

Is this Milford story likely? Would he make the Knights starting side anyway? Who would he replace? Clune I suppose. Clifford would still do most of the kicking and GK anyway right? I don't mind Clifford as a cheaper Sexton but that news worries me a bit.

I might need to do similar, currently counting on guys like Koula, Vailea and Ramsey.

Would immediately put him at the top of my list of guys I am worried about not being in my team though.

Had a crack at picking a team...looks like Fifita (D) or no Fifita will be the big question for the aardvarks.

(Not to mention do any of the other munters I picked get a game)

Have not updated team tracker despite the fact I know you are all on tenterhooks waiting for the big reveal.

I can see Schneider getting start for raiders. Starling on bench. Hodgo starting hooker.

Starling spells hodgo, hodgo acts as back up for schiender for remainder of game if he starts smelling it up.

If starling is gassed, Elliot or someone fills in (poorly) for last 10-15 of a game.

Shit I dunno, I just want to come up with options that aren’t Williams. Despite the fact he is a great bloke and alround nice guy.

All the NRL stats centre appears to have done is reduce TBs by 1 and reduce kick metres from 20m to 30m

Offloads have been scored at 2 points across the board, and there are no 6again or EFIG points

Better than nothing, but still not super accurate

So far today I've considered Hodgo playing 7, CNK playing 7, some kind of reshuffle using Rapana, when he's back, because it seems he can play everywhere, and wait for it...

Milford, just so I can use the slogan Canberra Milf

Who knows with Ricky, but I think it's probably going to be Williams

It’s going to be Williams. With a whacky bench covering hooker, half, and outside back coverage with one back rower. Because, Ricky Stuart will do Ricky Stuart things

Anyone considering Naiqama? In a good position in what should be a great attacking team but i guess does he lose his spot to Suaalii (assuming Suaalii is out for round 1)? Seems like a risky POD but could come off. He is a little more expensive than i thought but in the short term may be an option

I prefer having him not in the squad so I am forced to look up PENIS on the NRL Fantasy each week to check his stats from the weekend

Hope so... bloke is a local Townsville boy. Will be good to see him get a run, barring the circumstances.
