Actually the Broncos post says both would be unavailable for round 1 if they return positive on PCR (would seem likely.......)

Likely half the Broncos down for week 1 then, so contagious.

Oh well, that "Covid won't impact fantasy much really" idea from a few minutes ago lasted well.

With Reynolds out there is likely to be a number 6 trap set. Walters will get named week 1, then disappear.

James will start and score 60 in 50 minutes in round 1.

There's a famous news clip from during 9/11 where the newscaster opens with "the entire eastern seaboard of the United States has been obliterated". Just remembered that now, for some reason.

    Unlikely. Most copped it already.

Kelly had it last week and no one else did until now.

i hadn't given Cotter any real thought. the million dollar player is going to play big mins? huge surprise.

Lolo did have his workload reduced last year, by the same coach. So its not out of the question they would refuse to flog him, given he's a cowboy for 5 more years.

I guess Lolo is this year's Paulo, where everyone jumps on him because he's going to get a nice increase in minutes.

Tbf Paulo hadn't had several seasons of 60+ scoring before the previous year.

Also, it wasn't even just the minutes with Lolo last year. He was just off it. Does he get it back?

Barely though. He still averaged 59 mins a game which was a whole 2 mins down on 2020. It was the start of the season he had a few low min games.

I don't see why anyone would expect a crazy increase in mins either.. big mins, to me, is around 60 to 65.

Given the offload bump maybe this year's Junior Paulo should be Junior Paulo.

He was playing with a broken hand most of the season

There was a big drop in output whilst he was on the field though. He ran for 50m less a game as well as a general reduction in most stats

Some of that might be managing injury as he had a couple throughout the year. So will be interesting to see how he fares this year. I want more than the words of an assistant coach before I chuck him in my team though

I'm not really arguing whether Lolo is a good pick up or not. I'm staying clear. Just that he will be the big minute forward like he always has been, and that big minutes is around 60+ mins.

I do think the change re 6 agains will probably help him moreso than others.

Pretty sure that Papy was listed as Rounds 2-3 on nrl.com earlier, now listed as Round 1.

If named, and you had to choose between Papy (thumbs up) and Hynes (thumbs down), who would you go for?

"If you look at his (Taumalolo) minutes they were as much as when the Cowboys won the grand final in 2015," Young said in defence of Payten.

"Sometimes the media likes to grab onto something and won't let something go.

Telling quote... He said nothing of what big minutes mean. In the same interview, he suggested that T'lololo did not play low minutes last year. That does not make for a catchy meme though by a journalist wanting people to click on their website.

What was the reason people thought Cotter would play 13 ?

It is unclear what this means for Cotter. For most of the season last year, Robson played 50 to 60 minutes. It is quite likely that Cotter comes on for T'lololo towards the end of the first half and then switches to HOK when T'lolo comes back on for around 40-50 minutes in total. Does not make him must have but there may still be value there. Wait and see for now - perhaps the same as T'lololo.

The added value of Cotter was as a backup HOK for Randall, I am still considering to go with him for the reason but now may need to reconsider.
