What's your take on Fermor? Worth the $mattnz wrote:
I started with Lucy last season. Was exactly the same in the trials, then didnt get enough ball in the regular season. Decent for a solid 50 each week. Never going there again.
Lots of value on EDG, Tuilagi, Nanai, Katoa, Wilton, Bullemor, Lawton (waiting to hear how long Haumole is out for), and a guy you dont want to miss in Fifita.
I cant see Nikora reaching gun status, good for mid 40s where he is priced, even if he hits a 50 average, you need to replace him at some stage.
Different position, but for $70k more you could get Lolo, where it is harder to find playable value.

Confirmation that T'lolo is playing a LOCK does do one thing, however.
It appears to give more certainty to Hess' role at MID.
He is priced at 35 (exactly the same of Luki) and would now appear to be locked in for two stints in the prop rotation (approx 50 minutes if I am not mistaken) and is DPP (available to select on the EDG)
That may be where the most consistent value lies in the Cowboys pack.
EDIT Actually his record playing around 50 minutes at PROP means he only has a minor upside.... Carry on

Speculation around rumoured increased minutes of forwards is the nrlfantasy's coach sinking sand.

Stats would say not really, seems maybe 5 points of value. Eye test says he is worth it. Prefer him to Nikora.
If Nanai and Tuilagi are named you could get similar scoring for over $100k less.

Schneider confirmed.
Meanwhile, Raiders coach Ricky Stuart has named his replacement after star recruit Jamal Fogarty suffered a knee injury, sidelining him for four months.
“I am going to play Brad Schneider,” Stuart told News Corp.

Have been tossing up between Nanai & Tui - currently on Tigers.mattnz wrote:

I don't want to risk running both as JS is an issue.
I can squeeze Wilton in as Edge starter (with D. Fifi) but it leave very little ITB for any Rd. 2 upgrades.
Could grab Luki, leaving more $ but that's more Cows forwards, which is a worry.

They all have the same job security issues tbh. No one is going to know before round 1 kicks off which is the better selection, it's a guess.
If you took both cowboys edges (assuming Nanai + Luki), at least one of them should work out alright. lol

Thoughts on who the better pickup is out of Ipap/Angus?
Obv both guns that will score well but can't split them...

The problem is, to take both Cows, I have to drop Tui. Also, looking at Fermor / Wilton as better options than Luki.my tv broke wrote:

I rate Angus because he is guaranteed 80 minutes while Ipap isn't, plus he is slightly cheaper.
That said you can't go wrong with either one, and both have amazing early draws
If anything, I'm considering swapping Haas for Ipap and running both of them myself

Was named as starting center in the trial that was cancelled, with Berry on the other side. Looks likely between him, Arthars and Pompey, but he had the spot in final trial.Mulvy wrote:

Broncos playmaker stocks rocked by Covid with Reynolds OUT, two more halves in doubt
Disaster has struck the Broncos on the cusp of the season with star recruit Adam Reynolds ruled out of their season opener and two other halves are now in doubt.
Reynolds won’t face his former club South Sydney in a highly-anticipated Round 1 clash on Friday week after contracting Covid.
Broncos forward Kobe Hetherington also tested positive and won’t play the Rabbitohs, while fellow halves Albert Kelly and Tyson Gamble - plus centre Herbie Farnworth - must be cleared by Brisbane medicos to play.
If Kelly and Gamble are also ruled out, it will leave Brisbane coach Kevin Walters no choice but to pick his son Billy and uncapped teenager Ezra Mam in the halves.
Reynolds is the first big name to miss NRL action this season on the back of a positive PCR test on Thursday.
NRL protocols means Reynolds, who is experiencing minor flu-like symptoms, must isolate for seven days before returning to the club.
The 31-year-old didn’t play in the trials Walters tried to work out who would partner him in the halves out of Kelly, Gamble and his son Billy.
Kelly was a late scratching for the Broncos’ final trial against the Cowboys last Saturday after testing positive for Covid.
Walters, Gamble and Kelly all failed to lock down the No. 6 jersey in three trials and the coach will consult Reynolds before making his decision.
Reynolds rates Kelly and likens the Indigenous playmaker to his former Souths halves partner Cody Walker with his instinctive play.
“I have always had a plan in my head who will fill those positions. I’m not concerned about my halves,” Walters after the Gamble-Walters alliance was outplayed by Cowboys rivals Tom Dearden and Chad Townsend last Saturday.
“All three guys (Walters, Kelly and Gamble) are still in the mix.
“I will have a good discussion with my assistants (John Cartwright and Terry Matterson) and Adam as our main playmaker to see who best suits him for round one.
“A lot depends on how Alby recovers from Covid. We will see how badly he gets it and whether we can get him back training well in time for round one.”
Mam was impressive when Brisbane hammered Wynnum Manly 52-4 last month, scoring a try and providing three assists on his debut.

Dunno if this works, but I was thinking about it this way:
> they are both keepers, so you want to hold all year;
> the other one you don’t get now you’ll want to get later;
> you think (I assume) they’ll average about the same;
> one plays Origin so is more likely to not play on a key bye round. 1 less game overall
> one plays origin so is more likely to get a rest, which reduces his price and becomes the cheaper pick up of the two later in the year
Advantage ipap?

And I was questioning why Broncos had so many halves in their squad, silly me.

Man o' man, just read two separate articles where NRL players are claiming to have owned their 'mistakes' (one of which was significantly more serious than the other) and how that shows they are more 'responsible' and 'ready to step up in life' while simultaneously glossing over their own shithouse behaviour & the effect it might have had on the people it impacted.
The thing that really give me the shits is that they seem to have no idea that they are fucking these mea culpa sessions up and generally come out looking like even more of a Rex Hunt than if they had said nothing at all.....I don't want to hear how you are now a responsible family man, just acknowledge that what you did was wrong and don't be a prick in the future........rant over.
