I'm starting to take an interest in Suaali'i. While 498k is higher than I've been intending to spend on CTR/WFB, He's a decent chance for DPP, in a decent team and from all the hype surrounding him and his future, he must be capable of some special stuff.

Matamua is interesting, but Bateman is a helluva axe just doing its damocles thing.

Uto on the other hand is also cheapish and faces less competition. May be the only Tigers forward worth paying for

If Matamua is starting lock as discussed earlier, Bateman won't really impact him. More likely to impact Blore.

Uto looks to have more competition for MID minutes this season than last, with all these guys expected to get big minutes:
    - Klemmer (average 60 minutes last year)
    - Ofa (average 63 minutes last year)
    - Twal (average 54 minutes last year, down on previous years)

Add the up and comers into the mix with Pole (average 43 minutes last season) and Matamua as starting lock and I doubt there is much, if any value in Uto.

Won't really matter, if he is $230k starting lock in round 1 with MID/EDG dual he is in everyone's team.

My only suggestion would be to have some better beer coverage, you seem a bit light in that position.

You've got David ViVivodka in there twice. The 230k version contains methanol. Watch out, it will make you go blind! You also forgot Tui's Lager

Hopgood named for the indigenous all stars, going to be interesting to see what position they play him and just to see if he’s already better than Cameron Murray as every fantasy player has stated.

On the topic of gun centres, I know a lot of people got burned holding Talakai too long but I will make the case that he is actually worth starting with if a certain condition is met.

You see, if we look at the stats of Talakai and Mulitalo in 2022, there is a very clear pattern. In games where Wade Graham was not in the team, both of them averaged over 50 (67.8 for Talakai and 54 for Mulitalo), while when Wade Graham was in the team, they both averaged in the mid 30s (34.4 for Talakai and 35.6 for Mulitalo).

Given that Wade himself has said that he wouldn't be in the 17 if it was picked now, there is at least some chance that he does not make the team for round one, and if that were to happen, then I think Talakai is worth it as a gun centre. Granted, there is always the risk that he gets back in, but who knows what will happen.

Wade Graham is a huge handbrake on the Sharks left side, while on the other hand, Wilton is a vital component of that side's attack. If you go back and watch the Sharks games when Talakai was on his hot streak, have a look at Wilton in those attacking plays. His line running is exceptional and he doesn't get in the way like Wade does.

TLDR: if Wade is not in the team round 1, Talakai is worth having.
