The only way I can get Carter in is to trade out Green and downgrade a cheapie early doors. Dismantling a team and using two trades is not worth it for me as his job security is not there yet.

When Bird, Coote, Soliola, G Stewart and Aitken started last year, they looked like season long players - I don't get that vibe about Carter yet.

Anyone nomming any other "must-have" cheapies at this stage?

Really tempted to trade both LAM and Leuluai out this week and sit on Lichaa for one more round. But it doesn't leave enough money for a Lichaa upgrade

Hopefully GI gets another good game and so does gutherson and simon's takes a price cut then buy him in or peats for M.Ennis. then I should be set for a few rounds of no trading till I find time too.

How Terepo got those points i have no idea, id be careful he doesnt revert to old dropsie form or Wicks comes back and replaces him.

I'm tempted to wait on lichaa another week, but could face the same problem next week regarding prognosis. Hypothetically they operate and say, yep 1 - 3 months. Then I would have missed one week of Garvey price rises, or a big price shift on Randall.

Noted, I thought he played 80mins not 38mins... so a little worried there, but that score is good, deffently reflecting a good character.
Jessy was just down right shit, did not look for tackles or play, was really dull to watch. I didn't catch Terepo though in the Ells game.

I don't know what game you watched last night but Bromwich was an animal and left nothing in the tank

Isn't J.Bromwich a keeper in NRLF (he is in VSDT)?

IMO it ISN'T a good idea to trade out a keeper in Round 2 unless you have a VERY good reason, so "look before you leap" mate.

He's a proven gun and will bounce back massively. Even for a bad game he still scored 46. Trading him out is only going to cost you long term I feel.

He was my only player that night bar Young, I just kept watching him and seeing him run the ball down once every 6. when it came to tackles he didn't go in and allowed them to run wide a couple of times.

Dunno if this has been said already mate but all trades have a direction. Up(Gutherson to Inglis) Down (Bromwich to Terepo) or sideways(Tono to Oates). Sideways trades as a rule are generally never adviseable and nor is trading a proven keeper to a midranger so I'm not a fan of either of those trades. A few people pulling their teams apart to get Carter should probably remember these rules as well, not everyone but some of the trades I've seen proposed are nuts.

If your worried about your team while your in Basic chuck me a PM, I'm happy to set your reserves for you each week so you at least don't end up with a bunch of injured players in your starting 17.

I'm after some quick cash for these games I got a 100k team value increase, which I was hoping was going to be a bit more, so trying to get some price risers for when ill be away from fanasty for a few weeks. Jessy was just holding up to much money for me to risk losing to much on him while I'm away.

These are literally the worst trades ive seen posted on these forums.

Do not touch J Brom unless he is out long term. A 70 - 80 minute prop are you Fu$%ing insane?!?!1111?!?

Oats wont score 66 every week and he isnt priced that cheaply.

    +1

    Good advice HS.

In VSDT I replaced Fensom (77) with J.Bromwich (49) BEFORE they layed and I had valid reasons.

IMO they are BOTH keepers once they are in your team, so I'm going to save my (valuable) trades and stick with J.Bromwich. My selection of Bromwich is based on his performances in previous seasons and NOT on ONE game, especially the first game of the season.

If Bromwich scored 46 in NRLF, that is NOTHING to worry about. (edited)

I agree with you here SG. There is underperforming and there is down right out of form, out of shape and possibly out of favour. The minutes from a senior player in a pack with a fair few debutants is very concerning and i can only see holding him ending in disaster. Along with his figure something has changed drastically from last year where he performed well. Depending how many guns you have in your front row i would be trading to a like priced keeper though unless you need t generate cash to upgrade an injury.

Oats is going to be one of the best WFB that you will properly get this year, If Bronco go big again this year and Oats stays where he is, looks promising. from what I saw Oats is one of there main runners of the ball for them, hes massive so most other wingmen will get eaten by him when he goes goes for the runs and trys, I believe he will be a must have in your back line at end of season.

You WON'T lose any money on Bromwich if you DONT sell him. Try not to worry about temporary losses that are on PAPER only when you are talking about a keeper who SHOULDNT be sold.

Are you guys mistaking Bromwich with his brothers performance on Monday, I believe his brother played a better game then him for only 32 minutes.
