More of an IRL take (than NRL fantasy), but Ponga will remind everyone why he is QLD's first choice fullback in the next week or two.

I think I'm just going Ford -> Tapine this week

    He's actually had a slightly better start this year compared to last year;

    After 10 rounds:
    23: 51.4 in 49.8 minutes
    22: 47.0 in 47.7 minutes

The main difference between his performance so far and peak '22 is just a few minutes, an offload, a couple of TB's and the odd try/attacking stat (which will happen at some point).

He's not there yet, but it seems like he's in the ballpark.

The downside for me, is it means saying goodbye to grabbing Tohu (but then I also miss risking his knee)

    Cheers mate

    Ford to Sua
    Couch to Billy Smith

    Feels good.

Sua helps for bye's coverage and the weakened edge slot. Can make way for Fifi hopefully after he makes some cash a

I have had both Tohu and Tapine this season. Happy to jump back on Tohu, so cheap that its worth a risk on the knee for the scoring upside, can always loop him just in case if needed.

The big difference for Tapine this season is the minutes Horse is getting. If he is getting 65-70+ minutes each week, I can't see Tapine getting the time he needs on the field to make him worthwhile.

I'm about to take the punt on Tohu as well I think.

Couchman and Ford to Oloapu and Tohu with 1k itb - Surely Karl will get a start at some point and surely Tohus knee holds up

    I’m jumping on tohu.

My team is terrible, for me it’s not even a risk, it’s just all I can afford

Everyone jumping on Garrick surprises me a little. Seems quite midranger to me

Is the expectation Turbo makes origin (not a guarantee this season given his injury struggles) and Garrick plays fullback for a couple of weeks for a scoring boost?

Personally, with Teddy, Bula, Miller, Drinkwater (plus Manu and potentially Te Whare on the way) I am not sure I need another WFB clogging things up, but if he scores poorly against the Sharks and drops his price a little more then he might come into consideration

In my opinion, Garrick is a bye friendly midranger who's probably on the a similar level as Drinkwater, although cheaper. No need to go crazy bringing in players when you have coverage, especially if the plan is to bring in The House.

Cheese is the 8th most traded in player this week. I think some may have thought they were buying the other B Smith at the Roosters.

Yeah pretty much. Main reason I'm not bothering with Garrick (aside from the fact that I'm bringing in Robson and Hopgood this week) is that I would then have both him and Miller out in round 14 which could be a problem.

I would rather just wait until R14 and target someone like Edwards (Much more involved in attack this year, he might actually be a top 3 WFB given how bad the guns of the past have gone)

Might do the same (except Sloan out for me instead of Couch). Bringing Tohu in with the bye next week is annoying but hands are tied regarding timing. Tapine or Young are the other options but prefer Tohu.

Do you own Hopgood, or just not high on him?

Short term no but it might give him an extra week to get the knee right

Don't own him, would probably like him above the others due to DPP but I already have 2 Eels (Matto + Brown) and 1 Knight (Miller). So don't want to have 4 players out on rd14.

    Yeah very true.

Great round last round as well.

Can just afford Ford to JdB or Hopgood. They seem like the two guys you buy this week or they get away in terms of affordability.

In a vacuum thinks JdB scores more points, but leaning Hopgood with his EDG DPP

Basically feels like when it comes to R13, I lose less settling for a JdB replacement like Harris/Tapine, or even dropping down to a value play like Tatola, than if I'm scrambling to find an EDG that isn't Hopgood.

    Maybe overthinking it.

    Tohu Harris - $658k BE=53

In a vacuum, ignoring injury risk* and upcoming bye, he is stupidly good value this week as a Ford replacement and for Round 13 planning.

*Significant risk of continued MCL injury although didn't seem bothered by it in the weekend.

Could also jump aboard Su'a who looks like good value although appears to have a lower upside toc crack 60+ scores

In the same boat, tossing up jumping on JDB late or picking up Hoppy with his DPP. Tapine looks very frustrating to own. I would love to get on Tohu soon too.

On that note, I traded in Teddy recently with how attractive his price was but have been thinking of dumping him (instead of Latrell) to a bye friendly fwd like Tohu and just running Bula.
