Thinking of just bringing in Tohu this week, bank cash, and do a swifty (pending Origin outcomes) and getting Hynes + DEdwards next week.

If you already have all of them can you play one of Lemuelu / Bird in the EDG?

I'll almost certainly be bringing him in round 15, byes be damned.

Along with Teddy the two best value options under 600k

If you held this long you probably have to hold

Was worried he might not back up given his history but not keen to flick him now and then have to get him back if he keeps it up.

I’ve got Teddy too. Not value for me, but hoping to recoup some fecking $ and points losses whilst most other mofo’s had Haas or Hynes instead. I went off piste early this year and never really recovered.

Looks like I’ll keep hodling. Thanks!

These trades get me 10 for this week. It’s less than I was hoping but it sets me up a bit better for the following byes.

    Miller > Oloapu
Tino > Hopgood (will be captain)
Cheese > Elliot (bit of a punt)
Alamoti > Carty (love a party)

Elliot could be Tohu but I have a feeling about Elliot so going with my gut

    JMK
    Horse, Elliot, Sele
    Hopgood, Carty
    SJ, Niko
    Bird, Lemmy

    Reckon that goes alright?

    Boyd to Cook
    Cheese to Ponga

These two are locked in,not sure whether I should use any more trades?

    Cook
    JDB Tapine Horsburgh
    Host Hopgood
    Crossland Katoa
    Lemuelu
    Ponga Garrick

    BSmith
    Bula
    Teddy
    Haas
    Hynes
    Cleary
    Preston
    Manu
    Edwards

Have 11 for this week, best to leave it at that?
Assuming that’s Billy Smith rather than Cheese?
Either way, might be worth a trade for another round 13 WFB/CTR (if it’s a luxury).

Edit: Nevermind, read it properly and see Cheese is your out. Billy still might be worth the trade out as well.

Re Haas and the ‘stats’ that he played less mins backing up.  I think he got injured in the game he played low minutes (he missed the next round altogether).  I guess this is a perfect use for MTB’s new feature.

The big minute game Carrigan played backing up last year after origin coincided with this Haas injured game too by the looks.

And @AL, I’m in the same boat of having held Turbo.  I’m holding.  My simple logic is that if I have to sell any Origin players I may as well sell those that will most likely go down in price.

    Early thoughts;

    Grant - Cook
    Haas - Hop
    Cheese - SJ
    Miller - Drinkwater

    36K left and 14 trades and;

    Cook
    Horse JDB Tapine
    Hopgood Ford
    SJ Katoa
    Bird Null
    Drinkwater Ted* Bula*

    Boyd Fifita Cleary Manu
    Preston Olo APK Alamoti

Only 11 but not sure it's worth holding Miller. Haas could go either way but this sets me up nicely for next week with only one Eel out for byes.

my tv broke wrote:Hey all, been working on a community-driven 'match notes' section for the website today.

If you load up any match, beside the interchange timeline there is a 'match notes' section.

The general idea is that anyone can add a note/comment, eg X player went down injured and this is why Y player got bigger minutes, or there was a position swap at kick off eg whitehead named at lock but actually played edge, etc.

There is the option to tag the relevant players and add a 'type' ie what it relates to.

Its reasonably primitive at the moment. Any new notes get added as 'pending', you can still see any pending notes by clicking on the button. Once I approve them they just get shown as normal.

The aim is to build this out a bit so that when you are looking at a players profile, it will add this info next to the relevant game (this is where the tagging comes in) so you can see at a glance WHY a player only got 20 mins that week/whatever.

Will see how it goes I guess... Might be fun/useful to chuck in notes as relevant events happen while watching live games/etc.

Look at Elon Musk here. That Butters dig really stung, huh?

(Great feature, look forward to it.)

    Leaning JDB as (C)

Averaging 68 since big minute role, and likely play 80 again

He's a good captaincy option but I like Hopgood better who is a decent chance of playing 80 as well and offloads like crazy. He was on for 100 before he got moved to the edge last week, and I would think he'll want to do well this week to make his case for a QLD jumper in game 2

I'm considering selling Haas to Tohu (on top of Cheese and Miller to JDB and Ponga) and that would leave me 209k.

This then means that in order to afford Russell and Ikat to D Edwards, I would need to also buy a cheapie for 256k or less (plus or minus any price changes for Russell and IKat this week)

Of course if Miller gets pulled out of the Knights team late in the round (they play last), this doesn't matter as I would just reverse the Ponga trade and trade Miller himself to Edwards next week.
Coates the week after is a shout.

Yeah and even when he did back up last year (1/2 games and on a 3 day turnaround), he only played 30 minutes.

I'm only holding this week because I'm trading Miller first and then trading Haas to Edwards next week.

Just catching up, so this might already have been said, but that was when he got his AC injury, so I don't think 30 minutes was planned.
