I've already blanked out your team, but the reason (I think) I didn't suggest Alamoti as an out is he gives a centre at least for for rd16 (when Bird and Null are out) and plays rd14 which will be a tricky round.

Crossland is surplus to needs in the halves

I like it unless you need a hooker for rd16, Crossland *should* get hooker dpp next week. If he doesn't, or I need another player next week (and let's face it, Crossland sucks), Crossland to Turpin (or Simpkin) is the planned trade.

I think Cook is also a big chance for Origin 2 if NSW somehow don’t win.

Cook doesn't play rd16 anyway, so if he get's redeemed, it mostly affects rd19 which is a million years away. More of a decision for you guys that don't have him yet I suppose, coffee emoji.

I see that. Would you play Crossland or Niko? Note Niko plays first. I could loop, but I'm really scared they'll fuck it up, even though they say auto-replacements apply.

    Niko, I am trading Crossland.

I've already expressed my apprehension with regards to Metcalf, but why is Alamoti a trade out over Burbo? News I've missed??

Looping and emergencies are in the bin this week. I just noticed a notification on the app that players must be in your starting 13 to count this week. Auto emergency rules do not apply.

Do apply? or do not apply??

Edit: Ok, detailed discussion there, don't mind me. Again.

if I trade Haas out, its likely for Hopgood - who, assuming he doesn't get called up for game 2 or 3, will score more points between now and R18
I have some concerns about scoring in a team with Paulo, RCG, Ofa + Matterson, so quite possibly will want to trade him back out again, but likely not the worst if I can't

Otherwise it Haas - Lemuelu. Banks more cash, and gives Bird a CTR partner. At the moment I have Billy Smith + Alamoti as my other options, so getting an upgrade there could be worth it.

By keeping Loiero, Boyd who others are trading out, I have better scoring options over the next few weeks, and can upgrade them to final 17 players rather than bye friendly middies

I have similar concerns for whichever Eels forward I bring in. Seems a bye rounds play and worry about it later, the rd27 bye is awkward. I expect whoever I pick will be serviceable but unless I jag the right one, will be a trade out in rd 20/21ish for someone better like Yeo, but probably won't be able to afford it, and end up holding which wouldn't be the worst.

I think I'm holding Hosking this week, for the same reason you are looking to hold Loiero, rd16 is tough ay? Boyd doesn't play it though, has peaked.. offers value in rd19 but that's ages away, I'm not sure it's worth the hold?

Haas, as I said, could go either way. Massive motor. I can see a world where you trade him out because of origin and he backs up and banners. Unlikely, but that's what we said about Cook being available...

There's also a little info icon next to player name in match stats page if there's a note they're tagged in, if you click it there it just scrolls down to the notes.

Will think about making this a bit nicer but for now it should be helpful for everyone once we get some comments rolling in.

After combining the very wise thoughts of the legends round these parts I'm currently going

    Matto - Tohu
    Cheese - Cook
    Miller - Ponga
    Boyd - Drinky

    Gives me 12 this week
Keeps some R16 options I only need for backup until I get there
Cash for Hynes in next week

Hynes in with him likely missing 16, 17, 19 and then maybe 20 (in Auckland just after Origin 3)?

If he's not selected for Origin 2, he becomes a must have, but either NSW win Origin 1 and they keep things as is with Hynes on the bench, or they lose and he's promoted to 6. Strong avoid for me at the moment.

I'm only considering trading out Haas because I don't have JDB.

I understand that I'm very late to the party, and that JDB is coming close to the top end of his price, but I never in a million years expected him to be averaging 60s let alone 70s. I don't see how I can compete this year if I don't have him in my side.

It seems somewhat sideways, but with all the games Haas will miss, and the uncertainty around his 14/17/20 round minutes, I think JDB is the go (especially because NSWRL basically gave him the finger).

    What do you guys think?

holding one and selling one. at this stage leaning towards selling Haas for the extra cash to play with in round 14 and beyond, and the greater likelihood that he loses money in the short term.
