    Nah Gavet ain't even worth getting mate, if the coach is forced to change the squad in the forwards he will be the first one out. Lillyman, Matulino and Lisone (now injured) are ahead of him and Vete and Gubb may get their chance this week. Gavet is a liability with missed tackles and penalties in real life and I don't rate him. Will be lucky to score 25 this week against the Storm. Take a look at opposition forwards scores first two weeks against the Storm. E.g Dragons forwards and Titans forwards - Passi and GBirds drop in scores from week1 to week2 come to mind and also the whole dragons pack. The Storm just spin the ball from side to side, makes me want to get Munster.

    Can anyone help convince me further I should probably not trade Ash Taylor out for Cody Walker. My gut feeling is that Cody Walker will have a good game against the Dragons and get a high score again and blow up in price but I also feel like Taylor's gaining cash at a steady rate and I'm burning 2 trades just for the sake of getting money quicker.

    1)
    LAM -> Gavet
    Gordon -> Tedesco (Gordon underwhelming, anybody backing him to return to Fantasy form, because I'm not convinces)

    2)
    LAM -> BLaw
    Merrin -> Graham (Via Surgess; feels a bit sideways, Graham probably won't keep up 60's, but will Merrin come good?)

    3)
    Green -> Somebody
    LAM -> Gavet/BLaw

    I don't have any faith in LAM to get minutes in that forward pack, but Merrin and Gordon I could be convinced to have faith in with good reason. Green obviously has to go sooner or later. What are people's opinions?

    ** Or go for cash over points early and go Merrin & LAM to Gavet & BLaw via Surgess, and play a gun down until I can bring Teddy or Taupau in next week? This is also tempting, but costly in trades down the track

    Option 3 for me LAM to Blaw (better scoring and $130k cheaper) then upgrade Green or if you don't like any options around $300K get a rookie (C Scott)

    Your both idiots. Super sideways trade and it costing you cash right NOW!
    That what you were after?

    In all seriousness it's a trade you'll regret in rd 23 when Fensom and Parker both have season enders andyou have no trades left.

    EDIT: for Johnny and Arsenal.

    I went Ash Taylor to Garvey last week thinking and hoping Ash Taylor wouldn't score well. You are weighing up faster cash versus 1 trade. You will trade either out at some stage so its not two trades just 1.

    Think of it this way. Ash Taylor will potentially play the entire year, unless he gets injured of course. Pending the Reynolds return, Walker may not see game time again. Yes Taylor's ceiling won't be as high as Walkers but if there is for example 50k-100k difference at the end of the year, is it worth burning 2 trades?

    All logical points, but my logic goes out the window when I see I have one trade to use this week haha

    I think you burn two trades either way. One trade to get Walker in and another to trade him out. If you hold onto Taylor and want to upgrade to a gun later, you're gonna have to downgrade another cow just to get the cash you need to do such an upgrade.

    Woods ---> Gavet
    Cartwright ---> Taupau

    Goes from one semi-gun and one mid-ranger to a cash-cow + gun.

    I know a lot of you think those will be sideways trades or maybe even backwards but it should set my team up for a wee while (injuries pending).

    Ranked 998th:

    Smith, J-Nik
    Surgess, Gavet, Evans, Leuluai
    Parker, Taupau, Rochow, Whitehead, Carter, Jafiti
    DCE, Walker, Taylor, Hastings
    Feguson, Lafai, Benry, Gutherson
    Tedesco, Mitchell, T-Turbo, Barba, Feeney

    Ferguson, Lafai and Evans are ones I'm keeping an eye on but don't think I'll trade them anytime soon as they're not losing huge amounts of cash and aren't injured.

    Add to that the fact that Walker is costing you an extra 40k now and its not all roses.

    @Archer I think Croker is an excellent pick. I want to bring him in, but am leaning towards Hunt because his DPP gives me an extra centre with Gutherson sitting in my WFB.

    The other cow will be getting milked no matter what so its an extra trade.

    Rd 2 and already Woods is a semi-gun and Taupau a real gun?
