Cheers for the blunt answer Krump. First three words were enough to convince me.

Can anyone give logical guesses as to what both Taylor's and Walker's peak prices will be?

Rd 2 and already Woods is a semi-gun and Taupau a real gun?

OK so maybe I was jumping the "gun" there but it also frees me up a bit of cash.
I was worried Taupau wasn't going to be as damaging shifting to a new team. Wrong.
I was thinking Woods would be one of the fittest in a rubbish forward pack, meaning he'd be doing a lot more tackling. Wrong.

I don't know if anyone else has called it out but every time I see Woods come from the field he looks like he's gonna collapse. Don't remember this being the case last year. I figure I'll have to trade him out come origin anyway and am just considering him a dud pick on my behalf. Should've gone with Graham which I have done for the past two years.

    Walker 350 - 400k in 4/5 weeks time
    Taylor - 300k in 8 weeks time

So it boils down to is 1 trade worth gaining the same amount of cash but in half the time? Probably not but if improving your team score for 5 weeks also it could be worth it.

I'm with you on the Graham thing. Last 2 years he's been one of my first picked and was no different this year but when he left the field with injury in the trial against the Storm I panicked and thought he was going to continue being injury/concussion prone like he was last year so went with Woods instead. Majorly kicking myself now and I know the week I trade Graham in is the week he'll go off with a headknock.

Anyone think it's worth a trade going from Taylor>Walker?

But really I traded Walker in last week for Lichaa. Realistically Rabbitohs aren't going to keep winning by 40 and Walker is going to average closer to 35 which will see him peak around 300k. Definitely not worth 2 trades for 100k when Taylor will hit a similar average just slower.

Multiply what you think their average will be by 9000, and subtract $5-10k and you'll get close (it takes a while to make the final bit of money if they maintain a consistent average)

If you're lucky they'll put out a 60+ around peak time and you can get an added bonus.
If you're unlucky they'll get a 1st minute injury for -1 and you'll be waiting ages for them to make the cash back.

Neither player should be part of anyone's final 17 or 18th man. Those who have Taylor have a decision to make once he peaks. Those who have already done the Walker trade; let's say he does peak at 400k. Does anyone think there will be a non Origin gun at that price at that time? Also, I'm not a massive follower of the Bunnies, but what are the chances he could keep his spot once Reynolds returns and bumps out Keary?

Everyone hopes there players will average more, but it pays to be conservative when planning ahead, or dare i say plan for the worst case scenarios.

I though Lichaa's injury was only 2-4 weeks. NRL website has him returning round 6.

Does anyone know where the truth lies?

Usual procedure for this is that the player assumes two weeks, the doctor assumes four and the club pushes for three. Barring setbacks, it depends on whether the club or doctor gets the final say on whether it is three or four.

That's a bit selfish of them. It's really affecting my time in the house. I was going to let him sit it out for 2-4 weeks (noting we are half way there now already).. But at 6 weeks I think I might trade in Garvey for the cash and points injection.

It was going to be Peats this week but he went and hurt himself. I like friend but worried about JNikk affect once the dog rooster is back.

If Walker averages 45 he'll be one of the best halfbacks in the game. Just a step down from the big guns like JT/SJ/Hunt etc

I think its a bit ambitious hoping for that sort of performance to be sustained.

Yeah - I'm hoping Grant averages 60 and Aubbs averages 80. Hey, why be conservative - I hope they both average 100. Razz
