Its prob just another ruse from the QLD camp "Hey boys how about instead of pulling the virus gag this week, Ill just tell everyone I'm retiring - retiring is the ultimate injury to fake". Then boom, next year doesnt retire.

Surely they will just promote from within, they certainly have the cattle there already.

came as a shock, didn't he just hire an agent for the first time in his career ? his body must be struggling to have done a 180 like that

great career obviously, hopefully fox sign him up (been impressive on sterlo on the couch) and we're only 1 or 2 QLDers away from gary belcher not calling games anymore

gotta admit tho, not keen on the "do it for corey" stuff

it feel like the broncos are trying to do it for someone every 2nd year (or this time, 2 years in a row)

Kind of. He's retiring, then re-signing on a $1 contract, to be topped up with TPA's for roughly 800k a season. It's the only way to fit Hayne under the cap.

Semi is different. He's going to PAY the Broncos $400k a season to play for us. With TPA's, that's still about $1.1m a season. Not bad for invisible money!

Parker's deal is back ended and because he will retire a month before his contract expires. It will free up enough cash for Hayne & GI

Signing GI and Hayne would obviously hep their cap situation out too

just not feeling it this year, our play last year and through the start of this year was due to the minimal interruptions + the trust that the players had in the person beside them, for the last 2 and a half months,we've been losing 2-odd players to injury every single game and the constant shuffling of players, both in team list and on-field (I'm pretty sure our impact hooker has had to be wasted out on the wing in every one of our last 4 games) is wreaking havoc, with any chance of flow and/or consistent play going out the window.

There's a chance we come out the other side of origin, get our full-strength team back on the paddock and go on a tear, but it's looking bleak.

Broncos player apparently caught snorting a rail off a bathroom seat. Only early days with this report. Will probably amount to nothing knowing the Broncos.

Apparently the alleged offender can't be clearly identified, and the accused player is denying it is him. Unless there is more to that hasn't been released, it'll be hard for anything to come of it. Police are treating it as an extortion attempt.

Here we go again. At least there's not a dog involved, or it'd be a REALLY awesome story.

Like Norman whoever is named deserves to be given benefit of the doubt (Innocent until proven guilty) However if the player is identified they deserve to be stood down. Simple.

So here we have a Broncos player doing something illegal on camera but media wont name him while Corey Norman is named for doing nothing illegal.

I dont buy into the can be identified because he only faces camera for a second, let me see the screen shot and i bet i can identify him.

[quote=]It must be the week for videos and NRL players. There was a video doing the rounds of a player who will one day play State of Origin doing lines of coke in a Sydney nightclub toilet. It was shot by a person who stuck a camera over the top of the door. The person who took the video has been in touch with the player by phone and Facebook. I have seen that message – and an image of the player.

The player's club is aware of the vision and has told the NRL they are not concerned about it.

Id say this is the same Broncos incident and Weilder can identify the player The club isnt concerned about it mmmnnn only because theyre the Broncos and this stuff gets quickly pushed under the covers for them.

That has absolutely nothing to do with the "sex tape" they named him in.
