On Elgey. I was reading the other day on some supercoach forum that he was the first player in pre season to get the"training the house down" tag. Made me crack up.

I wouldn't be surprised if Elgey doesn't start the season in the run on 13.
He'll be very popular if he does though

He was in my squad last year as a cash out and turned into a handy little player

Farah will play the trials is what I'm hearing. He trained last week. I see cook as the super sub and Farah playing 80, but I've been wrong before. Once I think I thought Souths byes were pretty good? Anyone got a bye planner?

No bye planner Rabs but I agree re Cook, probably use him like Wingy. Who will be our centres Gray and Hunt or Goodwin and Hunt ???

Who knows with Maguire mate? He could bring a smokey out like Talaki. Mr. 'Performance based' will probably keep everything close to his chest until game one and use the trials for motivation. At the moment I think the consensus is ; Inglis, Gray, Hunt, Goodwin, Johnson......but who knows. Robert Jennings is classy and I hope to see Goolagong get a run sometime this year. Up the Bunnies!

Braidon Burns is another good centre pick up too, along with Fuimano who can play there as well. We've got centres coming out of our arse.

Agree, I think barring injury that backline will be what we see Round one.

He was good but he was the only play maker he was paired with Cartwright. May change a lot if hes paired with TMM or Wallace

Why would Wallace go back to the halves? I think the only circumstance this would occur is if TMM, Cartwright and Moylan all go down injured.Mighty Fishes wrote:

What price were you guys hoping to get Cleary for?
He averaged well over 50 last year. It's not like anything major had happened where you might expect a discount

Also, now that Farah is playing for a coach that doesn't hate him, he could easily go back to playing 80 mins.
Will have to wait for trials to get a firmer idea of what to expect next year

Common sense has no place in this thread Milchcow.

Cleary is only 443k in supercoach. I thought he'd be around the same price in fantasy.

I thought SC didn't include KMs in their scoring? That's where Cleary was scoring a good chunk of his points from last year. (I haven't played SC in a few years so their scoring structure might have changed in that time).

Well I couldn't give a fuck what his price is or what I was "hoping" to get him for to be honest. Was never going to be in my team. I'm planning on starting with Norman and Johnson then Elgy.
But the fact he is over 500k confirms why he was never in consideration for my team

So you wouldn't start Mitch Rein?
I thought they'd be looking to try and get their best starting side and to me I think that's with Rein starting Carty back to the second row and either Martin OR!!! Wallace to start in the halves with the other on the bench.
