The Segeyaro update. Following the tweet saying he'll be a Shark some dude on sc addicts saw Segeyaro when he was out & had a chat with him. Segeyaro told him that no club wants to pay the transfer fee. Segeyaro said he & his manager were doing their best & remaining positive but he basically said there was little chance. This was 9 days ago. Also for the Segeyaro deal to happen the Sharks have to offload someone to remain under the cap. This was supposed to be Beale going to Manly. But apparently Beale doesn't want to go & has even enrolled his kids in school in the local area. So I think we can take the approach "believe it when it actually happens"

Hoping to run with Gurgess (if fit) and Wallace in the FRF, never like spending big on FRF,s early on in the year, have Arey and Moses in halves and taking a punt on Slater to make some coin.
Pencilled in a final 17 and dont know where the money is coming from to finance it scratch scratch scratch quite a few 2nd RF,s in the 200/300k range that can kick on given the right circumstances, one bloke that really interests me however is Shaun Fensom - why is he on the outer at Canberra???
As far as I know he is not injured hoping Green Machine or Archer can enlighten me.

Thanks for the feedback, and yes the team looks risky atm, I'm sure it will improve a bit before round 1

There's just too many forwards at the Raiders that are ahead of Fensom. Fensom is just too one-dimensional & old school i.e. he just tackles & doesn't have the extra strings to his bow like t'b's, offloads, footwork before the line that a modern forward has. If he goes to another club he'll be on the radar but atm it's a pass.

    Current Draft:-
    Smith, Hodgson
    Gurgess,Wallace,Musgrove,NPR
    Surgess,Klemmer,Fensom,Sata'utia,Ray Faitaila Mariner,NPR
    ARey,Moses,Elgey,NPR

RFM can be swapped for Crichton or the likes subject to team lists, not happy having Slater but the price is right.

Beg to differ there WL cant see em pushing to far into the Finals without him, seen him get some nice offloads away and backs up all day.We all know about his workrate.

Noticed George Burgess popping up quite a bit, what is the 2017 theory on him?

Price is obviously attractive. I can't say I've kept up with souths player movements but I would assume his minutes don't change a great deal. Is it just on gut feel that he will return to better/more consistent scoring? He had injury problems all through 2016, yes? Fit again?

Fit again after injury is the theory.

He had a significant hip problem all year in 2016. It wasn't bad enough to miss any games but it required treatment in every game. He should be back to full fitness in 2017. He'll need to play more minutes though in 2017 (39 average mins in 2016) but with Rochow now at the bunnies & looking like starting at prop, Gurgess will come off the bench. I'm adopting a wait & see approach with Gurgess to (a) see if he has really got over his injury problems & (b) see how many mins he plays because he'll need to play at least 50 mins in 2017 to be a good pick.

Yes but they need to go to the next step, on George Burgess he is still not 100% is what I am hearing but time still to get right its a wait and see - if he is ready you would assume he would be in the run on squad.

i am honestly surprised he wasn't signed by another club in the offseason. he is on too many $$$ to play reserve grade, but ricky showed as of about mid last year that he wasn't part of his plans moving forward. even raiders fans seem to have forgotten the fence is still around.

I think Fensom to the Knights was a possibility for a while but it didn't eventuate. That move would of been great for fantasy.

Thats what I thought , a lot of cash to pay for a backup , but if he is not in their plans so be it and I will look further afield.................

Must have? Only if he gets back to his 2015 scoring.

Good value - certainly. As long as he stays injury free he will almost certainly average more than his priced average and is one of several WFBs available at a discount on their peak scoring.

Jarryd Hayne however - priced on an average of 21. in 2015 his *lowest* score was 32. He is unlikely to consistently hit the massive highs of his last year at Parra, but if he stays fit, there is no chance he does not outperform his price.
