Also the rules say you can't use the loophole this year but someone mentioned (it may of been you Milchy) that in fact you can still use the loophole & even though the c & vc are locked you can still move them to the reserves. Is this true?

For Round 12 I have Fifi to Brown, Slater to Walker or Aubo and Wallace to Graham pencilled in. To get some cash though I'll have to be trading out guys like Hampton, Idris and maybe Rennings.
I don't want to make the cash-out trades before I even know who is playing but I don't want to do the sideways gun trades prematurely either. What to do, what to do?

Whats the deal with Rennings mate? Any ideas? I can't see much in the news about injury, but he came off due to something last round right?

I've gone from several trade ideas to thinking nothing jumps out as a trade this week. 13k itb 23 trades. Any suggestions?

Think I might like play Suli and bench Sione but that would require selling Idris and having both WFB/CTR at CTR

    RTS Slater Cotric Suli Ponga

    24 trades and 110K.

I'm only thinking about going Hess to Brown.  Also liking SST which then I could get Munster for Lamb. But going Brown leaves me with 1 shitty reserve but I'm not too worried about that.  Thinking about going Idris to Hayne but I think that may be unnecessary.  Probably would give me too much depth although a more solid 4th reserve.  Probably should wait for a more bye friendly option or wait for Croker, Aubbs, Semi etc.  SMat I'm thinking can go for Aubbs anyway in round 12.

    Options;

    1. Hess - Brown

    2. Hess - Brown
       Idris - Hayne

    3. Hess - SST
       Lamb - Munster

    Opinions?

I like the Hess to brown trade. depending on your trade count i'd slow down and not bother with Idris to Hayne. You still need to have a fair few trades saved up to cash out some of those money makers later down the track.

I'm also a fan of trying to get in Munster in asap.
I'm not big on SST. I see him as a low 40 scorer

another option is to work off your a/e and have an acceptable player like spina/j.edwards score 20-30 on the side as a cash out who plays week 15.

Thanks mate. Yeah tossed up Frankenstein to Sione Katoa (DPP 2RF/HOK), if Wallace gets injured he may be next cab off the rank if the Panthers season gone and Rein is useless, could also use Smith to a bye friendly second rower over origin and then back again. Then Edwards to Croker moving turbo back and keeping Ponga. But I really wanted to keep Edwards over TRD.

Thanks mate, 24 trades I have, so I think I'll do the Hess to Brown and sit on the other one. I do like the look of Munster in there though but it's not desperate. If a nice cashout popped up this week for Idris I would do that but nothing really worthwhile at this stage.

Or Winterstein to Elliot if starting and Ponga to Munster. would give stronger 17.

    Smith (c) McInnes
    Fifita, McGuire, Kaufusi
    Brown, Whitehead, Chricton, JWallace
    SJ, Norman
    DWalker, Turbo
    Munster, Slater, RTS

last reserve from CHN, Elliot, Frawley, Niko.

Wouldn't be trading JBrom if I didn't have to.
He'll be back in a fortnight with an intent to prove how passionate he is and not wanting to let Bellyache down again.

Just for the sake of getting to your final 17 sooner, I'd upgrade Cotric for a more consistent scorer in the centre like Tturbo, via Idris downgrade.
Otherwise nothing too pressing to do this week

What do people think about a Winterstein to Hayne via SMat and Cotric as a second trade?  Would mean I screw my set and hopefully forget centre pairing of SMat/Turbo but Cotric is in my starting lineup while Ponga is on the pine anyway.  Hayne gonna become a keep do we think? If he can get a couple more games and get DPP also that would be gold.

When the rules say you can't use the captain's loophole, they are referring to the old style loophole still available in Supercoach/dreamteam

The very next point in the rules mentions you can still sub your captain out of your team - and then your VC will get double points. (They don't explicitly state this, but once he's out of your team, your captain can still be become your AE - hence the new loophole)

    The Rules wrote:
There is no longer the ability to take advantage of the “Captain Loophole”. All Captain selections must be made prior to the first game of the round and the Captain selection CANNOT be altered after the beginning of the round.

A Captain can be substituted out of a team during a round, but no other player can be made Captain. In that case, the Vice Captain will be awarded double points.
