Deadset Fittler can't possibly pick Aaron Woods ahead of the likes or RCG or Klemmer based on tonight's game. Couldn't have him in front of Tamou or Merrin and a couple others either.let alone I for, props like Vaughan and James to name just a couple.

If Vaughan isn't selected for origin then you know that it wasn't Fittler who chose the squad. Has been talking him up all year.

couldnt agree more, woods isnt even the best prop in his own side and shouldnt be picked.
Klemmer, RCG, vaughn - all clearly in better form and better suited to origin.
he may sneak in as the 4th best prop tho, but i hope not.

Dugan out for up to 6 weeks hopefully completely rules him out as any hope for Origin. Just need Fergo to snap an Achilles now.

    My latest side:

    1. Tedesco
    2. Trbojevic
    3. Mitchell
    4. Aitken
    5. Adds-Carr
    6. Maloney
    7. Green/Cleary if fit
    8. Campbell-Gillard
    9. McInness/Cook
    10. Klemmer
    11. Frizell
    12. Cordner
    13. JTurbo

    14. Peachey
    15. Vaughan
    16. De Belin
    17. Haas.....

Isn’t everyone sick of all this this cheating the eligibility rules debate? Can’t we all just agree NSW started it when they picked Steve Rogers in the first origin and leave it at that.

I dont like it, but can handle stupid eligibility policy and shit, but the GI blatant cheating and lying to him in a qld jersey is one of the biggest black marks in the history of SOO.

QLD should have been disqualified every time he has played for them, but he is literally ineligible for QLD and always has been.

How did we get onto NSW/Qld eligibility? Haas is clearly a NSWelshman and has nominated NSW in his registered contract, so let's move on.

Back to the side, Matty Johns talking up the chances of Curtis Scott.

I'll be honest, I haven't seen heaps of him, but it smells a lot like Anthony Quinn to me, a product of the storm system and the benefit of playing week in week out with Cronk/Slater/Smith. If he plays for the Tigers, or Newcastle or the Eels or the Titans, is he really in the conversation? I don't think so. A bit like Bellamy really, he was an abject failure at Origin level,  and I wonder how he might have gone coaching sides that didn't contain Smith, Slater and Cronk.

I can't have Scott in my Origin side.

Funnily enough, you were the bloke that started the circle jerk regarding JAC.....who also smells a lot like Quinn and Scott.

Anyway back to eligibility, I know nothing about the Haas story but if it is true that he was born in NSW but resided in QLD, played Keebra Park and is thus QLD eligible....good on the bloke for not taking the piss and for sticking with his actual State of origin, regardless of what a basket case they are.

Not overly surprised at the high standard of morals/ethics given the club he plays for.

    tariq sims

on quinn... lol.. the bloke was rubbish for newcastle well before he went to melb.
JAC is a classy winger on the end of a good backline. In origin, he will be the same.

I dont know what else he would have to do to make people happy? His defence is getting better, he can literally score a try from anywhere, has a high work rate, has been a standout for a year and a half, killed it in the grand final, can finish tries other blokes cant because of his speed and comes from a good system. What else would he have to do?

My issue would be having him outside of latrell mitchell, who makes some poor reads in defence.

At least the halves will be hunt and munster. Doesnt have the same worrying aurora as Cronk and thurston or thurston and lockyer.

i think scott is better then he diven credit for here but i do think he is still a year away

    my team as it stands

    1. teddy
    2. Ttrbo
    3. Aitken
    4. Trell
    5. JAC
    6. Maloney
    7. Cleary (green if cleary isn't ready)
    8. Klem
    9. Cook
    10. RCG
    11. Friz
    12. Cordner
    13. JDB

    14. Jake T
    15. Vaughn
    16. Peachey
    17. Sims

Centre is very iffy for me, i can't say we have anyone who doesn't have atleast some questions marks about their ability at origin level

sims making it after 8 weeks of good footy probably isn't ideal, but he is an in form edge backrower with the size to shift into the middle if needed. isn't likely to make braid dead decison like wade graham and crighton has been ok but not as good as he was going last year.

hooker is a lottery, i rather cook but understand why others would go mcinness or api or whoever

A pending court case that he will be lucky to keep him at the Raiders. Absolutely no chance.

He won't be selected as he isn't playing CTR week in, week out like he should. He isn't a fullback. However someone of his size and skill set could do well in the CTR position.

Yeah he'd be a better centre than FB. I thought you must have heard something, nearly gave me a heart attack.

Freddy has previously said himself that he sees Wighton as a rep quality center on numerous occasions. However you would have to think he runs with Aitken/Mitchell. Stranger things have happened come origin selection though...
