BOOM. Back into my squad. Definitely makes building a squad much easier if he gets a starting gig.my tv broke wrote:Bryce cartright released to join titans effetcive immediately. Probably makes him a must pick as youd assume he starts at titans? Also, James back to prop..?

Wow the guy on sc addicts was right. He predicted that Cartwright would go before the season started because last year when his ex/baby died his team mates/club were not happy with the way he handled it & that this had carried over to this year. Apparently he wasn't very popular there.

This Cartwright news could be bad news for Latu.

If they don't move James to prop, is Cartwright mre likely to start than Arrow, Proctor or James.
Even if he stays bench, I like his bench prospects at the Titans better than at the Panthers.
Makes James Fisher-Harris more tempting too. He averaged 40 points as a big minute 2nd rower back end of 2016. Priced at 20.
If he can beat out Yeo or CHN to the starting spot he is worth a look

In previous years there was more of an argument against Smith since you could only pick two hookers and there is usually plenty of $$$ to be made in thoae positions. This year that doesnt matter
Probably Brown who was pretty consistent and I expect to average 58 and Smith to average 63. You are only losing 5 captaincy points which you can make up by spending that 917k on players who are likely to score above their price.

Panthers - Yeo is a 100% starter. JFH is a bench prop now. Other second row spot is between CHN and Kikau.
I think Cartwright news actually also ups Merrin's security and minutes.

Would titans best 17 even have more than a player or two that were at the club two seasons ago? Not bagging em, very high turnover though. Maybe just james/don/elgey

the titans are the maccas of the nrl world. even their manager was fired.
is anyone game to give elgey another shot
i think he is priced worse this year than last. i had wraps on him to make money which fell flat. 300k is like 190k in the old money which is drawing me in again

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 3
After looking into Panthers it seems CHN will not be fit for round 1.
So if JFH is considered a prop now, and with Cartwright gone, Kikau could score himself a round 1 starting spot.

Nah, not Valleysearch Filth. Was there actually a varnish Liverpool? If so, that's hilarious. If not, that's hilarious.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 3
Brennan: “I’m really close to Bryce. If you speak to Gus (Panthers general manager Phil Gould) I think he’ll make comment that I am probably the only coach that’s going to get the best out of Bryce because of our relationship together.
“He is a good guy. He comes from a good family. Yeah, he’s probably lost his way a little bit the last 12 or 18 months but he’s a good guy and I’m really excited to work with him going forward. I’m really excited to get him back playing the sort of football I know Bryce can play.”

Just read a report on Brennan saying how close he is to Cartwright seems he'll be given every opportunity to succeed
