Maybe Latu could actually earn and keep a starting spot. If he shows promise and gets the spot, I'm tempted to roll the dice and run a Lodge/Latu front row.

It's a nothing game as far as I'm concerned. Hopefully we can get a good glimpse at what both these teams will do in regards to rotations and minutes but I'm not hopeful.

An odd question perhaps, given the balance issues, but:
Taupau/Isaako vs Watson/Mitchell ?
The first has a likely forced trade by R3, but has a genuine DPP keeper.
The second has two under-priced scorers, but likely very borderline keepers.

NAS seems like the best option to me: DPP with a great PPM background, and potential to grow should he spend time in the second row.....

NAS cause of DPP. What's the thinking behind the Pangai pick mate? Gun player but minutes obviously the issue here.

Can't we just assume he'll get a magic extra 10 minutes this year?
That's what everyone else does with their favourite pet players

Was just hoping Pangai would have an increase in minutes, he has good PPM scores last year and was hoping an increase in minutes this year. I just think NAS wont be as big of an improver as everyone is hoping but DDP is helpful.

Seriously though, yeah, I agree he should be on the park more.
I have NAS and am too skeptical. Will be interesting to see his minutes tonight. Might find the extra coin to turn him into Tapine if he gets the second row gig.

Sweet!
Let's put NAS in my team too
Great player, but I can't see much fantasy upside aside from his DPP.... (Next minute NAS does a Vaughan)

I am dismissive of all of these PPM kings. But one of them is going to have a break out year and I'll regret not having him.

Will be interesting to see how McLean goes tonight for his new club.
Will he be the senior FRF and get decent minutes?

Tonights match is probably a gentlemens agreement to finish within 2 pts of each other or be golden point. The NRL wont allow bookies to offer betting on the game which says it all really. Its an exhibition match with a desired result aka close game..

NAS will be hard to handle. They'll be bouncing off him like skittles haha.

I think there may also be suspensions involved if anyone tries to tackle Smith or JT

On a Panthers forum they said only 2 players came back to preseason overweight & unfit & we sold them meaning Latu & Cartwright. On Latu I've read good reports on him about his effort at preseason & could go ok.

I like that idea mate. Lodge is awesome & if Latu runs hard he'll be hard to handle.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 6
Current team with $0 left
Lichaa
Jbrom lodge
Brown griffin Murray
Croft Watson
Aitken Hiku
Teddy turbo Ponga
Niko latu carty rfm
Milne mckendry Crocker katoa
The closer it gets to tlt the less sold I am on Hiku. Will probably rearrange the team to bring in taka if he is starting 2rf for round 1

Is a Lodge/Kikau FR too light?
