    My thoughts too.

I have done the Merrin -> Arrow trade for my team.

DCE still managed to score 48 pts even after getting thrashed by the Bunnies. Only 1 conversion & -12 points in missed tackles, errors & penalties. With my current halves being Carty, Doueihi & L. Croker I think I need to bring in some gun half who plays round 13.

I'm tossing up between DCE and Matterson, both play 13 but I feel I can eke more value out of Matterson currently, that is however is he continues to play 80 minutes

You seem very confident and sure of your team. My advice for you is don't pick up a pod just to chase the leaders, pick the players who can score the most points for cheapest price.. Ignore Origin for now.

It's only round 3 and plenty more curve balls will be thrown our way between now and Origin so expect to burn a lot more trades... Even more so than years past because your now trying to cover short term injuries with 4 less players.

Few times I've been within striking distance of the title and lost because of my Pods. You need a lot of luck to go your way to win this thing, good luck.

I am trying to balance both getting good players that offer value with, where possible, not choosing the same players as the leaders. You don't need to catch every great opportunity to win, just enough of them.

I could go for Mbye and Alvaro, but the leaders have them, so need to find my own opportunities that have the opportunity to deliver similar value instead.

I think ignoring the impact of Origin and the byes is what the leaders will do and it will cost them a lot of points in that period, if they haven't planned correctly. It is where the game is won and lost most years.

I've bought Matterson in. The bonus is I love watching him play in real life. Bitter sweet also but Maubbs days as Roosters first/second choice Second Rower look over.

Same issue, can't afford dce otherwise he'd be in my team. Left to decide between Townsend and Matterson

I have no idea why you're looking at the "leaders" teams after Round three. Of this "top 7" you're trying to POD against maybe one will be in the top 100 come season's end.

Your main problems imo are a lack of on-field leadership and terrible, terrible use of interchange. And, given how the Warriors marched down the field twice in last two minutes, probably fitness. Not sure getting rid of one of your three underperforming halves solves any of those things.
I completely agree that our non existent on field leadership and Stuarts inability to use the bench (which i think is why we are gassed at the end, i reckon the team has the fitness if we used the bench correctly) are our biggest problems.
But i don't think that excuses under-performers or lazy efforts and dropping a highish profile player sends the message that players will be held accountable for their performance (not enough were dropped imo). Not only that but its usually a half/hooker acts as that leader and steers the team so maybe a change there is exactly what we need.

Edit: Last thing i forgot to mention, last week you might have noticed Williams switch side once Austin came onto the field as part of our halves roundabout. I can only assume this is because originally Sezer was defending beside BJ and when Austin slotted in he couldn't defend beside BJ because they can't be trusted to play nice together. At least this way we can hopefully cause SLIGHTLY less disruption and keep Williams in the one spot all game when we go ahead with this madness.

So I am bringing in JMK and Kennar this week.

Kennar is probably the best cost effective option in the CTRs while JMK is a cashcow who I think I am going to start over Cartwright.

DCE currently price at 52 point average (just worked out how to do it)  Laugh 3 I reckon he maintains that

Matterson currently price at 42 point average, if he continues playing 80 minutes I reckon goes 46-50+ so potential for better value for points potential plus he has DPP

Plus Matterson has the ability to go huge even if his minutes come down because he has that TB and offload capability

Cordner has been getting spelled a fair bit as well

I think those of us who started with Kennar just got lucky. He had some horrible stats before this year. 4 tries in 3 games and base stats averaging less than 20.

Any cheap CTR's worth looking at if I have Hiku already. I dont feel good about grabbing Kennar. But I just want a non-trash CTR or a set and forget while I trade Aubbs out.

Kennar needs tries to stay relevant. 4 tries in 3 weeks so far. Compare that with Isaako, no tries yet for similar scores.

Isaako was someone else I was weighing up. I didn't even notice that and he could also be a good shout. He is $50k cheaper as well.
