I've traded pretty hard but my cap including cash is only 13.45 million. I wouldn't say my strategy needs a complete overhaul though, just need to pick better cows and have more luck with injury, sometimes it's just not your year. I would say though that I tended away from guys like Martin because of round 13 which was a mistake. You should just pick the best cows that will make money and round 13 cheapies really only come into it the week before origin or the week before that at a stretch.

Yup, absolutely. That certainly comes into it. Out of interest though, prior to this round how many trades do you have left, cause 'trading pretty hard' clearly means different things around here from what I've seen.

Thoughts of Matt Wright if named as replacement hooker for Api? Decent base stats for your center

Only ten left. I pretty much want to use 8 (7 at a pinch) to get my final team and even then I won't have a great 18th man, probably someone like Fonua and will likely have 2nd tier 3rd WFB or centre or both. I decided before round 13 with rank in the 4000's to go hard and then try to hold on as long as I could so I am not surprised by the situation I'm now in. But the damage was done well before that with dud cows and horrible luck with injuries.

Who's jumping on Gall? Showed he can go big still. Will make $100k in 3 games if he can average 50.

Wade Graham has finally shown something too, won't get cheaper than $422k.. Could be a cut price 18th/19th man for some.

I can't really see anyone to dump in my team for them, but tempted.

Is Murray to Aitken a good trade? Bearing in mind round 17 it would give me 11 players so far

Even though the Bulldogs lost I thought they improved so I can't see Martin being named this week. Elliot was his main competition & he put in a solid effort with a great try. I hope Martin does play as I own him but I'm not too optimistic.

Yup, sounds like it man. One of my theories from anecdotally hearing peoples strategies is that a number of people don't trade hard enough to give them selves a genuine chance at a top ten finish. However, as you say, that's not you, you've just picked the wrong cows I guess, or alternatively not picked the right ones - happens all the time I imagine.

All the best with finishing off the season mate. Agree, go hard and use 7 or 8 of what you've got left and see if you can ride out the last 7 rounds or so.

I have 3 players for round 17 haha. Murray may get another 80 minute game with the 3 Burgess boys named for England.

Nice looking team mate, although I see what you mean about your Cs. All the best - trades seem sensible!

Is there any other way you can get Mitchel into your Cs (chuck Olive in your EMGs while he matures) and Get a couple WFB upgrades sooner rather than later? Olive is gonna be painful to play in your 17 I reckon...

I could arse Dugan for Mbye. I know he is due back in the next few weeks though, so I'm thinking of playing Olive another week and holding him. Happy to have Fonua in the centres, not a lot of better options out there.

Other than that TPJ might be a trade, but will hold until round 18 at least.

It's annoying knowing that you have players with more cash to make but you've got gaps in your team. Thinking about not making any trades and hoping my team pulls their finger out their ass lol similar to @danseels1985 team

    Arrow Fifita
    Harris Taumalolo Crichton
    ARey DCE
    Aitken Mitchell
    Ponga Isaako Gutherson

Main issue for the Bulldogs was their execution at the end of their sets. Shocking last play options from both halves
