Rhyse Martin's BE  (and average points) is irrelevant if he doesn't get back into first grade - and noone really knows for sure why Martin was named in 19 this week (I guess Dean Pay probably knows, but he isn't here to let us know his thoughts)
If Woods doesn't go, then only Klemmer will be missing from the DOgs pack in 17, which doesn't necessarily mean anything that amazing for Martin.

Unless you just love low BE players, in which case lets all trade in Anthony Gelling for his round 17 score and cash.
(depending on the NZ team and who gets rested, he might even play a couple of games in the nest few weeks)

Which is why I said you'd wait to see if he takes the field this week before making any choices on keeping him or upgrading him.

I think if he doesn't play this week I will dump him.

Not going to hold on on the off chance he makes it back. Everychance even if he does return he'll be off the bench with RFM and Jackson as the starting wide players.
Can upgrade him to someone with a more reliable spot and scoring ability so I can watch them get injured 3 minutes after I trade them in.

Anybody running without Taupau atm? He's projected to go $900k+ and he's not playing 17... I'm tossing up between him or SJ

My thoughts exactly. If he plays this week (and is included for reasons that suggest he will play for a few weeks longer) he is a hold, other wise.

There's about a hundred Martin questions to LS on twitter and FB so he might find out whats going on if we're lucky.

    Good Read.

Watmough is a cunt of a human though, he's probably not lying but I certainly wouldn't be taking his word as gospel.
Manly sounds like a dump of a club for a player to be at right now but that doesn't rest on DCE's shoulders and Watmough sounds bitter AF.

    BUMP

Have changed my way of thinking and am thinking of going all out
    Murray to Fainu
    Lane to Brown
Martin to Jurbo(dependant on if Martin is named)

Leaves me with 9 trades,14k and team looking like this

    Cook
    Fifita TPJ
    Taumalolo Arrow Harris
    DCE ARey
    Mitchell Isaako
    Tedesco Ponga Mbye

    Smith
    McInnes
    Jurbo
    Brown

    Sua
    Fainu
    Brimson
    Olive

After round 17,Sua and one other(Brimson?) are cashed out to upgrade ARey to SJ if need be(haven’t decided yet) and Isaako to Aitken probably. Then all I would need is a solid 18th man but I should still have 5 or 6 trades left at that point so I should be ok. Thoughts on this?

Half pissed at bar, traded in Surgess just before before kick off in round 13, was after Matterson trade was reversed due to him being ruled out. Really wanted an extra player right then and there. Regret that decision.

Shit I'm stumped this week. I want Fainu, Gallen, Graham, Mbye.. But my only trade out options are Cogger, Martin and maybe TPJ, but they are all making cash! I want TPJ and Martin for 17, so I think I'll hold them and re assess. Cogger is gone straight away if he is dropped, has another decent in him. Probably downgrade him to Mann or Fainu then, depending how they go.

Then there is.. The stain that is Dugan. Can easily upgrade him to Mbye. It's a potential wasted trade, with Duggy back next round possibly and Mbye might be going to the Tigers, so won't not play 17. Aitken is another option I guess, or RTS.

With 10 trades left, I think I'm going to hold. There are guys like Hunt who are dropping crazy low, and Graham will be there next week for cheap if I lose my cool with anyone. But I wouldn't want him as my 18th man ideally, so might be no point anyway.. Mad Far out I'm stuck. No trades I guess..

    Looks OK.
Might want to keep an eye on TPJ if/when Gillett and Glenn come back, but otherwise its as good as any.
Missing Taupau but there are a bunch of us in that boat.

So basically Watmough thinks all players are better than the club itself and knows all. He was basically trying to get all the old boys retirement payments, after taking under's thinking everyone, including the board, were going to give them huge deals to make up for it.

Dreamer! They all left and were rubbish at their new clubs.. Imagine if they stayed together another couple years, Manly would have been terrible.

    "Manly players took unders"....

....on the official books. Brown paper bags don't count to the cap.

DCE was probably the first one who wouldn't stand for it. Laugh

You didn't get to your current rank without backing your gut!

I reckon captaining Fonua against a weak Raiders backline is the better option though

just makes me think of regular workplaces how talking about pay is taboo and that is an advantage for the employer not the employees.
Rugby League is a professional sport and a business and idea of 'loyalty' is something the clubs can and will use against the players.

Not saying DCE doesn't sound like he acted like a bit of a dick but you can see why he did it if he did.
Watmough dragging it up six years later just sounds bitter.
