Hastings & Taylor already have high ownership so everyone will have them in their 17. It's going to be the choice of your gun that will make the difference.

On the flip side if you do what the pack does you finish where the pack does..

There is a big chance that Taylor flops in a weak Titans side, and J.Niko gets a handful of games with mediocre scores before Pearce is back.

On the subject of PODS, the best resource I ever had was the list TT used to produce of number of teams in the top 100 that own player X. Pretty much impossible to produce without doing it manually now that team IDs have been remove but it helped me storm home one season after origin for a top 20 finish. Would have come down to the final round if my biggest POD didn't like drinking breezers on the roof.

For start of season I think the best PODs are proven guns that are being avoided for various reasons. Fifita, Smith, Hunt etc

The problem is if you want a balanced 17 that will score well you'll have to forgo some of the guns. Smith, Fifita & Parker are the 3 high end priced guns & you can really only choose 1 realistically & I've gone for Smith. Hunt is probably a pod but the obvious choice at half back is DCE in terms of price & the fact that he'll be the dominant half at Manly. It's much harder this year & I think this is good.

If you find the right cows you can definitely have more then one of them, it just means you have to be a little more choosy with your mid rangers.

There's plenty of time between now and rd 12 but it looks vicious.

Will Copley even be that great if he cements a centre spot?

I'm a fan of this team aside from the Grevs pick. Think he loses minutes unless he guns it early

I really rate him as a player and I can't see him running low on minutes, Surgess can only do so much. Should also have added that my team is a long long way under the cap so I've got options come tlt.

Milchy (or anyone else using his great spreadsheet that might know), am I missing something or are there only certain players in the 'breakdowns' tab? Example, I can't see Rochow in the breakdowns tab, it only seems to be FRF players listed, is there a way to change this and see players in other positions in the breakdowns tab? Sorry, new to all this spreadsheet business. BTW using Google Docs to open it.

Not sure about Google Docs, but it should have two players listed. You can just type the name of the player you want to see the breakdown of.

have you copied a FR players name from the drop down boxes in the team planner into the breakdown tab, if you have it adds the scroll option but only for the FR players, to look for Rochow copy and paste a 2RF into the breakdown tab player cell

Breakdown shouldn't be a drop down list at all.

Just type the name of the player you want. Spelling matters though.

Robbie Farrah didn't play a single game last year

Tough choice between Woods and James Graham for me.

I'm leaning towards James Graham only because at the Dogs Parra game last year in Sydney, I ran down to the fence behind where he was warming down on the bike, yelled out to him and showed him the little figurine of himself and said I needed a photo with himself and the figurine! He yelled out he'd come over after the fulltime handshake. I didn't believe him. Sure enough, at full time he runs over straight towards me, bypassing a heap of fans and my mate ends up getting a video of it which now sits on my instagram. Legend.

Nice one Welshy, that seems to be exactly what has happened. Thank you.

    No Gutherson?

I see what you are trying to do in the CTR mate, one solid 35 and then you have 2 chances at either Copley or Auva'a becoming at least servicable, a decent option i think

I'll start doing to team what i do to my own when im chopping and changing and adding what potenial score i would be expecting

    Smith 122 Lichaa 55
    Fifita 62 Jbrom 55 B Lawrence 30
    Surgess 58 Rochow 40 grevs 35 P Pauli 25
    DCE 60 Hastings 40 Taylor 30
    Lawrence 36 Auva'a 25
    Slater 38 Gordon 40 Mansour 40

Total 791, i would consider any R1 score over 760 to be pretty decent obviously some will smash some huge ones but a good starting point

I've been thinking about getting Dugan as my Gun in the centres as long as he's down to play as Fullback. It'll be interesting to see how the Dragons line up for round 1... I think they have a fair bit of depth in the forwards and the backs. Curious to see who will play where...
