Would think so. But if you are making it based on earning potential there are better guys to be asking than me. Nowhere near enough idea of how to deal with BE's and price rises. From a purely points based standpoint I think Reynolds and Surgess are superior. Reynolds and JTurbo are pretty much a wash and Surgess is definitely superior to ARey

Could always risk MNCC the first week and laugh in the face of danger. Or you can take a pussy option like myself and back someone like Surgess to come out with a statement to prove in a massive first round clash against the Roosters

Read somewhere that you can get notifications if your players pull out just before the game so you have time to do some changes. That's a pretty nice feature to have and really helpful so not something I would think Fanhub would give a shit about

The main reason for "balance", is so that if you end up needing to bring a player in or out you can do it a lot easier no matter what position they are.

    Eg 1
Lets just say a couple more cheap options appear and 4 rookie halves is a genuine possibility to run with.
If someone like JT or SJ goes on an irresistable run of form, its much harder to bring them in if they are $300k more than your most expensive half, means you have to make multiple trades elsewhere just to free up cash, and possibly completely change your team in the process.

    Eg 2
Lets say that 3 of your WFBs are Gutherson, nuffie nuffie. If gutherson goes down gets injured, it makes it much harder to find a potential replacement. (that's a bit more about depth than balance, but having a poorly balanced team doesn't help.

Are the Broncos at Suncorp or Pirtek? Always like Parker as captain whenever the play at home. Gal playing up in the heat of NQ could be a worry. Could be a shit show with some loose play and exhausted forwards or he may do his usual superhuman effort and go for 40 and 200m to carry his team through

All of the hours and hours of inane team building, swapping different combinations around and back again until you forget which was your favorite combo and just continue to tinker on regardless. I tinker so much, that I have by happenstance, figured out all the different combinations. All the possibilities. *spooky voice* I can see all the strands of the web. When TLT comes, I will be cool as a zuchini- quick scan of the team lists, make a quick call to my people to instruct them that we have the go ahead to enact "Operation: Silverfox" or the daring "plan Pom bomb", or any other number of a thousand pre-determined possibilities. Sorted.

I wonder about the final rank of people who actually don't start research until 2 days before the season starts.

    11pm Tuesday:
Oh, Cameron Smith got named as hooker for the Storm. That's an interesting development. Guess he'd be one to consider for my team.

    11:30pm
Oh, Kieran Foran isn't at Manly anymore. Wonder if that will effect Daly Cherry Evans score?

    3am Wednesday
Oh, the left winger for the Tigers is that guy who played there in all the trials. Wonder how much he costs

    4:30am
Fuck it, I'll just go copy the teams off someone that's been researching the past month and swap a few PODS in

Happened with Parker last year, scored a 37 in the heat R1, everyone called his demise from fantasy god to mere mortal, than busted out some huge ones!

I like to run with a backup captain. Would probably put the 'C' on Fifita anyway. He will get the round 1 hype, angry at being slandered by the media, up against the cowboys who trounced them in the finals. I think he will eat an opposition player, right there on the field. Need to find the sportsbet odds for that

Mead kills it. Underpriced by about 15 points if he gets the fullback spot.

I think its doubtful though and he'll end up on the wing.

Hoffman is nothing special (fullback or otherwise) these days

he got reduced minutes as well from memory. if there's one thing I've learnt from here and setting lineups for a few seasons now it is to give your guns a bit more leeway with lesser performances

Not sure I'd run the VC loophole possibility round 1. teams will have scoring NPR's first round so it isn't like in a bye round where you can easily run it as your swapped out captain becomes your AE.

Speaking of which, anyone know if the loophole has been shut down this year or is still available

They are at Pirtek so Parker should be a goer for round 1 (c).

That would be the conventional wisdom, but the theory i'm testing is that there's the obvious $/point correlation, and whether it matters how that's distributed. TBH, as long as i can trade an injured Gutherson for another 130k player who'll score something (anything), that's fine for the purpose of what i'm doing here. On your first point, there's no position (other than CTR, which seems like a bit of a basketcase this season anyway) that i don't have the most expensive player available. So if someone cheaper is outperforming the player I've already got, it's likely to be a net cash gain rather than loss.

Mead would do wonders as a decent nuffie upgrade in my WFB is named at FB, even considered Cheyse Blair for aound the $200k mark Embarassed
