What does everyone think of my "wifes" team...

    Smith, Granville
    Woods, Fifita, Pauli, Welch
Fensom, Taupau, JDB, Tapine, J.Edwards, Bhana
    DCE, Hastings, Taylor, Nikorima
    Copley, Auva'a, Henry, LittleJohn
    Burgess, Mansour, Ferguson, Gutherson, Nuffie

Anyone have any thoughts on Joe Burgess?

Shouldn't Little John be your team? *ba dum tis *

There's some deadset winners in there, Burgess is really awkwardly priced for someone we haven't seen in the NRL but he could go mental. Who knows.

    I like it.

    Hook: no complaints
FRF: Surgess and Woods good picks; i see much more potential in Trbojevic rather than James for the same price.
2RF: Seems a little light. Granted I like all the picks involved, but I feel you need a gun in here, even at the risk of downgrading a midranger.
HLF: Mullen only ever typically scored well through dominating the massive kick metres. Are you worried about how Mullen will share his kick metres with Hodkinson? I won't say any complaints about Soward, you know the risk, and I will admit- it just might pay off.
CTR: seems legit, never even thought of Brown. First team ive seen him in. How do you see his role in Manly?
WFB: All Good really, Mamo could be a real smokey, for his price there is also Gordon, Ferguson- But may well become a nice POD

Jturbo and James are pretty similar to me, to be honest I took him out of that team because James was a duelly but could easily swap him back in.

You're right 2nd row is light. I'd like to find a spare $150k so that I could watch for a week and trade out the underperformer for a gun in week 2.

Think soward is a genuine 35-45 point player, especially if Moylan comes in to 5/8. So that's $100-$150k. Mullen is a risk, but his half partner always stole some kicking. Mullens kicking game is that good I can't see hogko being anything more than a second option.

I'll be captaining burgess, he will pick up where he left off straight away.

Mullen is the second choice Half at Newcastle now, his toe will still have him questioning his ability for a few weeks until he starts playing properly. We signed Trent to have a dominant half to ease the workload on Mullen. He's burned people before so I would hold off and wait to see how Newcastle settle down before going with any of the halves.

As for Chanel he won't get the wing spot, that's for Nathan Ross aka White Lightning. Who's a dud.

How much cash you sitting on with that team because it looks at least 1 or 2 guns light compared to everyone else.

    Quality hooker combination
Great front row and 2 solid bench options
2rf is where you seem to be lacking. Most teams can afford to throw in a gun player here and I think you will find yourself lacking if you go in with this lineup.
Mullen is a gamble, as is Soward. Would be happy running with one of them but would try to pair them off with a reliable gun scorer.
Brown is a change up from other sides and should score well. Hurrell will hopefully fire for the Warriors sake.
A bit of a POD lineup here. Mamo is interesting and might go pretty well this year after adjusting to life in first grade. Mansour and Slater you know what you will get

Mullen is absolutely not the first choice kicking option anymore. Although he is a fantastic long kicker, Hodkinson outdoes him in the kicking area. The strongest part of Hodkinson's game is his kicking game (including goalkicking), ice cold composure and his incredible defence. So underrated in my opinion.

Mullen will play wider, more 2nd receiver/first ball short side plays etc. He's quick, incredibly strong/powerful and has great vision. I see him having a great season if he can stay fit.

Have read an article somewhere that Sue has been put into the tigers leadership team this year, not that it means much towards increased role etc? I don't know, unlikely considering Farah and Halatau are also still in there

I've managed to put this '2 gun halves' team together. Makes my mind more peaceful having a second gun half rather then punting on 3 cheapies. What do we think?

    Smith, Lichaa
    Woods, Ah'Mau, RCG (cheapie)
Surgess, Rochow, Sue, Tapine (cheapie, cheapie)
    DCE, Sezer, Hastings (Taylor)
    Copley, Auva'a (Gutherson, cheapie)
    Mansour, Gordon/Fergie, Mann (cheapie, cheapie)

re our halfs makeup. I think running with 1 gun & 3 cheapies (Hastings, Taylor, K-Nik/TMM) is a very low risk strategy. Hastings & Taylor already have high ownership so everyone will have them in their 17. It's going to be the choice of your gun that will make the difference.

If you don't have DCE in the first couple of weeks you'll be chasing your tail trying to make up ground all year. I really think he makes the step up to Parker/Smith type scores this year.

Will he even make the 17 Random plus he's injury prone. I think he'll be fighting for the last spot on the bench.
