Anyone who doesn't have Turner, thinking of bringing him in?

Welshy wrote:Morning! So why isn't Paul Carter a must have? Started on the edge scored 50 odd with -14 in errors and MT, no Sutton and starting on the edge again, under $200,000 and I can't see him going not below a 35 avg, what's that a $100,000 increase?
The guy has played 24 first grade games before this year. 9 of them as starter.
His average in those 9 games as a starter is 23 (in 57 minutes)
Sunday against the Roosters is the first time in his career he has cracked 50 points.
-14 points in errors, penalties and missed tackles is actually an improvement on his average (around -16 a game when starting)
It is certainly possible that he can continue to improve in getting rid of the errors from his game. I would also say it is highly likely that he will improve on his career average of 23 as a starter.
But 35 is a big jump. Souths won't win that easily every week and he won't be getting the sort of attacking stats every week like he did against the Roosters.
If you have somebody you are desperate to ditch to free up cash then he is certainly an option to trade in.
If you had him from the start even better (pity me who had him this time last week, but downgraded Tedesco to Mansour so I could upgrade Carter to LAM)
But he is not a must have. Be wary of making trades for last week's points.

He got bonus minutes after Norman was injured at half time,. forcing a reshuffle.
Be wary

1) Grant to Terepo and Leuluai to Carter with a leaving a kitty of 55k
2) Grant to Kims and LAM to Carter leaving me with 148k
3) Grant to Terepo and LAM to Carter leaving me with 277K
4) Grant to Mataora and Leuluai to Carter with 32K left
I think I like option 1 and 3 the most.
1 Gives LAM another week to see how his minutes go, though not sure if this is a good thing or what's worrying me. Assuming he gets low minutes and winds up with another 30, do we expect something like a 20k drop?
3 means I don't risk losing money on LAM but then I've taken two risks in Terepo and Carter.
2 Seems ok but I'm thinking I might bring in Kims next week with the cash I get in option 1 and 2.
Thoughts, Opinions, Anger?
Cant you just go Grant to Carter?

I would but it would be next week and by then I'm not sure there is any value in it so think I'll be passing on him.Welshy wrote:Anyone who doesn't have Turner, thinking of bringing him in?

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 12
I am running with 773k in the kitty this week.
Next week I aim to bring in 2 big guns to reinforce the squad.
Garvey/Walker in this week (for Segy/Lichaa)
Playing catchup so got to play long term now and it gives me another week to decide who to bring in (and also time to reevaluate my current ones).
Hookers will be Garvey/Niko for a while so will take the cash and ride the rollercoaster .
Can't go any worse to the start of this season, will rebuild and catch up or go down trying.
Not throwing in the towel yet so might as well start the long trek up the ladder

Hmm... I hadn't considered that, sometimes its hard to see wood and all that.. I could move LAM to FRF trading out grant and bring in Carter... doh. Thanks, though now I have to decide if that's a better option . I'm terrible with decisions haha

I cant be overly helpful, i didnt like Grant LAM or Carter pre-season haha. I think LAM has better potential then Grant though, he for some stupid reason played very limited min when he had over 100m in the first 20 and helped the Dragons jump out to 10 - 0 lead. Grant played near 60min half of that while they ran in points and he couldnt manage any attacking stats and half when they were defending and still didnt rack up the tackles.

Superstar Milch,
My thinking was if he had the job security at seasons start I would of had him to begin with, I wouldn't be making trades on his 50 odd its his starting spot with Sutton goners and potential to score 35, he made 37 tackles when the souths dominated say 80RM and then -10 because he does fly out of the line and gives stupid penalties away so i don't think 35 is unattainable

If Welshy doesn't run with LAM and Whitehead all season he needs a forum ban imo.

Tbf he did also make 37 tackles which is what we as fantasy managers want from our forwards.
Good money to be made here I say

I wish we could just get an official update on Lichaa, any trades I do are null and void until then and I am getting twitchy fingers everytime I rollback the team when I tell myself to wait for more info

I don't have Whitehead, i couldn't afford him so went with Rochow
LAM predictions based on solid base stats and facts from last season, If posters can't form their own reasonings for selections and have to rely on others then they shouldn't be playing the game

Yeah Grants a plodder, over him already, but I also don't see any reason LAM gets more minutes. I guess one more week to find out probably won't make or break me though, already ranked way out at 19k . But thanks, it was helpful, I don't think extra options are ever a bad thing.

I'm kidding you, mate. I know Whitehead's game from ESL and am holding. Didn't pick LAM as didn't rate him as highly as some.Welshy wrote:
